A hidden jewel..We started with a peach bilini...The food is good- my favorite for lunch is the Curried Turkey salad. For dessert the fruit crisp is tasty..and the icecream topped with candied ginger bits always delightful. The staff is attentive and friendly. The garden cafe ambience is excellent.

Definitely a cool spot, kinda pricey. Food was good, very rich. I enjoyed seeing the exhibits afterwards.

TLDR: Food is excellent. Service is wonderful. Welcoming atmosphere. Make a reservation. You can eat at the cafe without a membership or museum admission (tell front desk you are just dining), but the museum itself is lovely, so don't deprive yourself on the visit.

HoMA Cafe is one of my favorite spots in Honolulu. The food is always fresh, portions are substantial, and you can choose something healthy or something a little (or quite) indulgent dependent on your mood. Marco, Heather, Kaela, Joey, Mercy, Teresa, Andrea, June, and Kenny always deliver a wonderful experience. (The staff in the kitchen must be fabulous, too, I just don't know their names, but mahalo for consistently turning out delicious food!) If you like chocolate, don't skip the pot de crème (no photo, must remedy on my next trip). Perfect for a peaceful solo dining experience or to meet up with friends or co-workers. Friday evenings (the only evening the cafe is open) usually feature live music, and Sunday brunch is fantastic, too. Best to make a reservation. Enjoy!

This was probably my third visit to the cafe. I love the casual, relaxed vibe. Five stars to the gentleman who served water and brought our check - he had a very positive attitude. I'll definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely beautiful atmosphere; a great place to relax and share a meal with friends and family. There is art, plants, and a water feature. The restaurant is covered, but open and airy. Ceiling fans keep you cool. The servers are truly wonderful people and made our experience unforgettable. We enjoyed local beer, vegetarian sandwiches, and soup. The food is so flavorful and healthy… we will definitely be back!

The Honolulu Museum of Art Cafe offers a serene atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely escape. The soft jazz music creates a soothing soundtrack, while the open-air design allows for a refreshing breeze. The air is filled with the enticing aroma of freshly brewed coffee and pastries. I particularly enjoyed my Pesto BLT. The cafe's peaceful ambiance made it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

What a delightful surprise to find a PERFECT turkey sandwich in such a gorgeous setting! Don't wait for Thanksgiving leftovers because you won't be able to match this experience. Thickly sliced, moist, tender breast meat, succulent tomato & crisp lettuce between slices of the freshest bread, and generous portions of each ingredient. Then there's the cranberry condiment on the side that you may want to just eat with a spoon! All that would be more than enough for 5 stars, but no, they're going for perfect here. There is also a generous salad of lightly dressed greens with candied walnuts. I mean, come on, how often do you find perfection? Mahalo to the chef & staff 👏

Although we only used it to have lunch at the cafe, we were able to see some parts of the facility. It incorporates elements from other cultures, such as a Chinese-style garden and an Islamic-style garden, and although it's not that large, it feels like you've wandered into a European city rather than Hawaii.

The staff were all friendly, and the security guard told me that it was OK to park on the street in front of the museum on Sundays.

The cafe is open-style with a view of the courtyard, and the breeze blowing through is pleasant. We had steak, salad, sandwiches, and gelato, and all of them were authentic and tasted great.

Everything is five-star except the price. For some of the menu items, I'm not confident that the markup is worth it.

Nevertheless, the service, taste/quality of food and beverage, and atmosphere has always been pleasant.

Other food recommendations would be the chicken sandwich. Delish and filling.

Parking: Park at the HOMA School and venture over to the museum. Parking is $5 cash only for your entire visit 3+ hrs. Lot is uncovered and has an attendant. If you're on Beretania, heading towards museum, enter lot on left side before the School. If you've reached Beretania and Victoria, you've gone too far.
