The wife and I wanted to come here cause we don't have a good skewer place like this from Las Vegas where we from. Went in on a no reservation and there was a 1 hour wait (no problem) and I didn't know what to expect! We got seated in an hour and we picked different meats we liked and asked the server his favorites were so we got lamb, pork jowl, beef, beef tendon, hanging cucumber pork belly appetizer and omg it did not disappoint. The echigo beer was super delicious and was super light and crisp. There was a shaker of a seasoning that you can dip your meat in and it turned the experience up a notch in flavor town. I thoroughly enjoyed every part meat that was cooked and the lamb really shined in this meal. I don't usually like lamb because of gameyness (however you spell it) but this was not the case for these skewers of lamb! it was super delicious! The hanging cucumber was super good and you can put that sauce on a shoe and eat it.. so bomb! The waiter checked on us all the time and made sure we were taken care of and made it an enjoyable experience for our first time here. I would definitely come back again and try the other meats.. good vibes!

The food was really good, service is very fast and nice. Their rice is one of the best compared to any other Asian I’ve been to. And I’ve been to a lot. It feel like the rice I make at home. Skewers has a good amount of meat in each stick. Overall good experience.

The number of times we've been to this restaurant outnumbers the number of times we've been to Hawaii. The food has never disappointed us. YES, you will need to cook your own food but it's not hard with the automated skewer spinners. It there to make sure you spend less time paying attention to whether or not you're burning one side. Once things are cooked to your liking, you take if off the grill and dip it into one of the two sauces on your table. In my opinion, the food here is much better than the "other" skewer houses around Waikiki. If you're adventurous and patient, it's well worth visiting!

My friend mentioned this place and we decided to try it. Not realizing we may have issues getting in without a reservation, she called that day and got one at 730 pm on a Sunday. I read other Yelp! Reviewers mention parking was an issue so I planned on getting there a bit early to get street parking because it is free (at least on that part of Kapahulu) on Sunday's. I was lucky to get one of a few street stalls in front of St. Marks church a couple feet down from the restaurant on the same side of the street. Other parking options are the municipal lot right across the street but not sure about the cost. If in doubt about street parking, the digital meter tells you if you have to pay. Note: those stalls are marked for 2 hour limits, but not Sunday and holiday. We were sat a little after our reservation time and many people were going in and out. There are only a few tables so reseda actions are a must! We were offered free edamame while we looked at the menu. We ordered the normal stuff: vegetarian tiger salad, chicken thigh, beef, enoki mushroom, egg plant, zucchini, and mini sausage. Each skewer item comes with 3 or 6 skewers which you can choose to share or eat all of. All the items we got came with multiple slices/pieces. They all came with a dusting of house seasoning which the waiter asked if anyone had allergies and we said no. My favorite thing was the enoki mushroom because when cooked on the flat tin foil plate, the seasoning caramelized and added such a great crunchy flavor to the mushrooms. They also have hot sauce and more dry seasoning on the table to add to your food. I thought the seasoning wasn't very spicy and had a prominent taste of cumin. The salad didn't come with meat and was almost like a cucumber salad for how much and big the chunks were. It was such a nice refreshing salad I could eat it every day! We had such a great time and I can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes.

This place straight took over our list of places to eat at while here lol. We were so excited to find a skewer restaurant with this particular style since the closest one to us back in Cali is 6hrs away or if we were lucky during a foodie land event. The skewers are soooo good, we'll dream about it when we're back home. The marination is perfect but add the spices to dip the meat in on the side, mmmhhh just soooo good. We don't like sweet marinations so this hit the spot. There was nothing we tried that we didn't end up loving. It's a small restaurant so either call ahead for reservations or be ready to wait 30min for a table (we learned after the first time lol) but honestly either way it's worth the wait. Ohhhh and make sure you get the candied fruit at the end.

I was craving for some Chinese food throughout my rip in Honolulu. Found this spot on Yelp and I am glad I tried. Everything we ordered was great. I was too hungry so I forgot to take pics.

Got the dinner for 4. Food pacing was not good. All the meat came out at once and the all the veggies came out 30 minutes later. So many side dishes and the worst thing was EVERYTHING tasted like cumin. Serious flavor fatigue, and we could not finish the meal.

My first time visiting the place:1 hair found in the dish1 small piece of plastic in my skewer0 water refill1 order came out wrong - we were not even complaining, but still got pointed finger (literarily) by the waiter for not articulating it clearer (look at their other reviews' responses, you will probably see why)

Came here on Valentine's Day, the skewers were deliciously. The beef skewers are tender and juicy, and I love cucumbers. The auto grill makes the food perfect and fresh.

Make a reservation in advance, it seems to fill up fast. Food quality is 10/10, prices are very reasonable, everything is delicious! Clean and well ventilated too, such a good experience we will def be coming back :)

The food tastes great! It perfectly replicates the amazing taste BBQ has! Especially the sugarcoated fruits, it melts in my mouth like ice.
