This place is freaking delicious. This is the only place while in Hawaii that we had to come back to. Excellent service and food. 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting. 😋

Absolutely amazing. Hula Dog is hands down one of the most unique and delicious food experiences on Oahu. The sweet Hawaiian bread is perfectly soft with just the right amount of chew and the way they toast it from the inside is genius. I tried the mango relish with the spicy garlic lemon sauce and a polish sausage and it was a flavor explosion. The balance of sweet savory and spicy is unlike any hot dog I have ever had. Plus Dennis was super friendly and the vibes were laid back and fun. Whether you are a local or just visiting this place is a must try. Definitely a five star gem.

Ordered a vegetarian dog and got a meat dog. Absolutely disgusting when you unexpectedly eat meat. Vegetarians and vegans be warned.

Soooo good! The Hawaiian mustard is amazing. And the hottest sauce isn’t that hot so go nuts.

Bread to sausage ratio is a little off. But good flavours and sauces really enhance the experience.

Delicious, unique, and worth the walk from Waikiki! I'd ask for less sauce next time but the hotdog and the bun were perfect

Can’t go wrong with a Hulu dog
Fantastic meal as always. Love the form factor of the hula dog and the many different combinations of sauces. They also have a wide assortment of lemonade and tea combinations too. Stop in and have a great meal.
Must stop!
Everything about the hype is real. Ordered a Hula dog with soft pillowy Hawaiian bread with a polish link, tropical relish, reg Jalapeño sauce, and tangy likikoi mustard. Yes they give you that many options to concoct your specialty hot dog to satisfy your island foodie craving. The portion is more than ample and they do not skimp on the ingredients. The dog is constructed so that it holds its contents all the way to the end making all the flavors consistent to the last bite. No one likes a hot dog that falls apart on them or have the ingredients all drip out. The Hula dog maintains its integrity both in shape and taste throughout your elevated food truck experience. The proprietors are also real friendly and take a lot of pride in their food. Additional info. They also have some big savory island style sandwiches on their menu and I made the mistake of bringing my own water because I didn’t order any of their specialty drinks which everybody else ordered. Yum. Unlike their previous location, they are situated in a bigger lot with a tented table area so you won’t have to burn in the sun or be forced to take your food to a park or eat in your car. Believe the hype and go and do yourself a solid by enjoying the HULA DOG food truck.
The dogs are good, and worth checking out! I've been enjoying their unique style of island hot dogs (and polish sausages) for years.
But, since the original restaurant/partnership split into 2 different restaurants (Puka Dog & Hula Dog), you can tell they lost the magic they once had. I understand legally, that certain aspects needed to be split up, and new locations needed to be established, but it just isn’t the same.
