DO NOT STAY HERE!! Front desk and valet run by children who don't have a clue about what's going on. We were guaranteed early check in, children at front desk would not honor it. Loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. Ridiculous.

Great food at onsite restaurant and great value. Close walk to Waikīkī beach. More of boutique property (quiet and relaxing) compared to some of the huge resorts nearby.

Rooms were stuffy, bed was so worn out (first time I've experienced a worn out bed) in a hotel. Shower pressure was mid. Front desk staff ladies didn't greet us & not friendly. Restaurant food H/H don't order the shrimp or fish + fries . Both batters very stale / burnt fried. Shrimp batter was so pasty and thick 😖 the fish batter was too fried & burnt (as seen in my photo) fries were stale tasting 🫤 The poke bowl was the best !
Slushy was served watered down. Order from the pool bar, better service there.

The hotel's location is excellent, only a 7-10 min walk to the beach and about 5 min walk to the shopping/restaurants area. Our check-in and check-out process was quick and all staff members that we interacted with during our stay - were all super friendly.
The room definitely needs some refreshing, the two chairs on the balcony had cigarette burns, and the railing had bird poop all over it, the little table on the balcony was very dirty; the bathroom was not spotless and the shower lacked pressure. I think the most frustrating part of our whole stay was the noise coming from outside, it was extremely noisy from the street even with the balcony door closed. If you want a peaceful stay and undisturbed sleep, I wouldn't recommend staying here otherwise.

I think despite the thin walls and not immaculate attention to detail cleaning (saw a hair on the shower wall), the servicing from the staff are responsive and as friendly as they can be 😇💕. And I feel that they are doing their best to accommodate the guests needs. I really appreciated it!

I stayed in room 1201, a premium corner room, and you could hear the street and the corridor and my neighbor who watched extremely loud TV 🤣 or had kids screaming off the top of their lungs. Thankfully they stopped during sleeping hours. Even if they didn’t, there are ear plugs in the bathroom so we can mitigate the noise situation. Although, the problem with wearing ear plugs is it will be uncomfortable to sleep on your side. If you’re sensitive to noise, it’s 100% unbearable LOL 😭.

The pillows were flat and when stacked, it’s not super comfortable or agile. I would prefer the pillow to be fluffy so there’s support for my head from a single pillow.

I love the cozy boutique Haiwaiian decor of this hotel— it feels young and laid back. There were complimentary goodies waiting for me in the room after I checked in, I loved seeing a schedule of classes the hotel offers because it makes the hotel feel alive.

Yes, I would stay here again but ONLY because of the value, proximity to the beach, and this premium room with a view. If I had smaller room, I will absolutely go crazy if I can hear my neighbors and the traffic + wind from the outside constantly.

We stayed at the Wayfinder Waikiki, it's one of the Chase Sapphire Edit Collection hotels. The hotel is centrally located to shops and restaurants and only a few short blocks to the beach. Every staff member that I came in contact with was friendly, professional and very helpful. The hotel was quaint and clean with the convenience of a coffee shop, bar and restaurant (Redfish). Thanks to all the staff members for such an enjoyable stay.

Loved this hotel! Check in was super smooth and easy. We didn't have a car so didn't have to worry about parking (I believe the valet parking is a whopping $55).

The hotel is beautifully designed with an open, airy, and breezy feel throughout. There's a coffee shop and restaurant on the main floor as you walk in. The pool is right behind and easily accessible. It's a good sized pool and there's also a hot tub/jacuzzi pool on the side that's nice to chill by in the evenings. Every day there is some activity by the pool - yoga, hula hoop dancing etc, that you can sign up for.

The on-site restaurant, Redfish, has some excellent food options and is a lovely place to sit and unwind. The hotel’s location is another highlight - it’s not in an overly touristy area, yet still close to the beach and major attractions. Our room overlooked the canal and had a small balcony, which I absolutely loved.

If you're checking out early and need to have baggage held they offer this at the reception area.

It’s clear a lot of care went into the decor and overall aesthetic. It doesn’t feel like a typical commercial hotel with generic furniture and artwork. I’d absolutely recommend this place if you’re looking for a unique, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed stay.

Awesome boutique hotel that cares about guests! Details matter to me, and it does to them. From the lobby to the rooms to the pool to the staff, all A+ (they understood the assignment)! Would highly recommend to my family and friends!

Absolutely unreal. The AC dropped gallons of water straight into my luggage and the hotel didn’t even offer to clean the cloth. They said they will clean the luggage but left the wet towels in the suitcase for days. UNBELIEVABLE. That being said the restaurant Red Fish under is delightful

We really liked this hotel! I thought the design was beautiful and gave me Hawaii in the '70s vibe. We had a corner room overlooking the canal which was great because we could watch the golfers across the way and the people training on their outrigger canoes. The coffee shop was great and everyone we interacted with was very kind. The location was great. It's only about a 5-10 minute walk from the beach and such good food is right around the corner. It was also located in a spot that made leaving and getting on and off the highways easy. It can get a little loud, but I did notice they have earplugs if you need them.

Update:
After staying here for 2 days, my perspective has changed a little.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious on both days. I want to give a shout out to one of the waitresses (red hair & Asian) at the restaurant. She was super nice to us!
The hotel does offer beach chairs and beach towels for free so we took them to Kailua beach. Your hotel key card also serves as a ticket to the bishop museum.
First night we found out our bathtub was clogged. I called front desk and 5 minutes later the maintenance came to fix it.
I feel like you’re gonna hear the revving motorcycles, obnoxious honking, and ambulance sirens at 11PM anywhere in Waikiki so I don’t think it’s the hotel’s fault. But I do think the windows could’ve been dual pane to at least block out some of the noises.

Original:
So far not good.
Pictures look nicer than what it actually is.
Even though it’s been renovated, you can tell it was very low effort. Walls were painted over with no attention to detail. Bathroom is one of the smallest I’ve been to. Felt like I was in my college dorm again.
It happened to be a very windy day today and our room is on the 12th floor which doesn’t help at all. The windows are 100% not sound proof.
You can hear engines, winds, traffic etc.
No idea how we’re gonna sleep tonight.

The pool is freezing!! Day after day there is not a single person in the pool because it's so cold. Everyone is packed in tiny hot tub.

There are no coffee makers in the room and the tiny cafe downstairs doesn't open until 6 am when they will tell you they are out of everything and charge $8 for a cup of coffee.

No laundry. No dry cleaning. Overall this hotel is a disappointment. Why charge the resort fee when there are no amenities and the pool is impossible to use?

A Warning to Future Travelers

Travel memories can sometimes turn even unpleasant moments into fond ones. But before time softens the reality of what we experienced, I want to clearly state this: the hotel we stayed at last week was the worst we have ever encountered. In order not to completely ruin our family vacation, we were forced to tolerate terrible conditions.

The room we were given looked nothing like what was shown online. The photos clearly included windows and a balcony, but our room had neither. The cleanliness and hygiene were unacceptable. The bathroom drain was clogged and would not empty, and the shower curtain had visible fecal stains. The staff were unfriendly and offered no solutions or alternatives. When we complained, the only response we received was that nothing could be done. Because it was the Christmas season, there were no available hotels nearby, so we had no choice but to endure the situation.

Some guests may have had pleasant experiences here. However, based on objective standards, I can confidently say this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel may offer excuses or a formulaic apology, but my only hope is that travelers who love Hawaii will not suffer the same experience we did. I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

Rooms were smell and had an off-putting odor. Staff was inattentive before, during, and after my shortened stay. Staff refused to honor promotions that had been unsolicitedly emailed to me. Items went missing from the room. Would not recommend this hotel. Mahalo!

after already spending a considerable amount of money to even book this hotel, my boyfriend and I arrived and were then charged an additional $150 for a resort fee. then we ask about parking for our rental car and were told $50 a night, but if we wanted to save money we could park 10 minutes away for $30 a night. the lady at the counter didn’t even bat an eye telling us this, as if this was normal. then one of the only two elevators in the building is out of service so there’s absurd lines to even get to and from your room.
honestly just a disappointing, overpriced hotel. what a terrible start to what we thought would be a nice weekend. save your money and stay somewhere that actually accommodates their guests. we’re already looking into other hotels nearby not wanting to even finish our stay here.
