We had an excellent time at Il Tappo!! The service was incredible, the setting was romantic, and the dishes were absolutely delicious. Would certainly come back again (which we definitely did)! The owners (we think) were so personable and friendly, offered to take our photos and had wonderful suggestions in regard to the menu. They also had great menu deals throughout the week! -the honeymooners ❤️

We had such an awesome time at Il Tappo Hawaii! The owner was super friendly and made us feel like we were in Italy. The puttanesca was so good, the best we’ve ever had. And we found a Riesling there that we absolutely loved

Had a party of 10 and in desperate need of a place to eat for the evening. The owner reserved a large table by the waterfall for us as I talked to them on the phone for a confirmation. Super nice service and super nice people. Highly recommend!

Il Tappo delivered an outstanding dining experience. The service was warm, attentive, and professional from start to finish. The food was absolutely wonderful. What truly stood out was how thoughtfully the staff handled my daughter’s allergies. They took every precaution seriously and made us feel completely at ease. We’re already looking forward to going back!
WARNING: They will force a tip without notifying you beforehand even if you are a party of two.
Owner has temperament issues and is very petty. He is willing to follow you and threaten you if you tip less than the forced “gratuity”.
Just read the other low reviews from people who have experienced this. Not worth ruining your day by this.

the bill came out with an automatic 18% gratuity that was never mentioned or given any notice of any sort beforehand. My friend wanted to tip in cash, but when he was $1 short the owner threw a temper tantrum at him and proceeded to harass for more tip. He also threatened my friend if he wrote any bad review he’d charge his card. The owner followed us outside as we were trying to leave just to threaten us again if we made a bad review

Came in unexpectedly. Greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. Wonderful atmosphere and the service prompt and wonderful. I'm mad at myself for not being hungrier because the food was fresh and delicious.

I celebrated my birthday here and was so impressed! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. Their homemade lasagna and tiramisu are some of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Great food. We had the middle pasta(with chicken and was the best dish of the night), the second from last pizza(a pleasant spice to it), and the special: lasagna.
My only critique would be we had to initiate getting our sodas refilled.
But that's quite the nitpicky criticism, in my opinion.
