2 STARS Only because the customer service was amazing!!! The oxtails, rice, peas, Mac n chz wasn't good at all. There was more beef stew than oxtails. Plus they were out of so many items on the menu. Cabbage, beef patties, plantains, potatoes, jerky salmon, and drinks. However, customer service was great!

Parking: Gotta pay $4 to park for such a short period of time.

This is honestly the best Jamaican food I’ve had on island so far. I’m glad I was able to finally try it. The oxtail was delicious. It was a healthy serving of food and I appreciated that. I was glad that the chef actually made the oxtail properly and that there was meat on the bones and it wasn’t just fat. Everything on the plate was seasoned, even if mildly. I wish the Mac had more cheese flavor. And I wish the sorrel had more ginger/cloves for spice. But all in all, I’d eat here again any day. I’ll be back to try something else off the menu!

Also, shout out to the two young ladies working front of the house! Great service!!

Parking: So, there’s very little street parking paid/free that you can try to find around the area and walk to the restaurant. You can pull up outside and put your hazards on and try to be quick. Or you can park in the garage for the building. The garage parking is paid, but the restaurant doesn’t validate.

I hate leaving bad reviews but honestly I was very disappointed in this restaurant. I have gone to many different Jamaican restaurants and this one was the one with the worst food. It’s sad because the customer service is great! The jerk pork was way overly too spicy where I could only eat a couple bites and I was done. All I tasted in my mouth was hot scotch bonnet pepper. On the other hand, the rice & peas lacked flavor and seasoning. It tasted of bland coconut milk and that’s it. No salt, no all spice, no tastes that I am used to eating when eating rice and peas. I’ve never had a beef patty before so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I didn’t taste hardly any flavor in the beef and there was absolutely no flavor in the patty. The ginger pineapple tea wasn’t good either, it was lacking freshness. I hope that the restaurant takes these reviews into consideration and makes changes to the recipes. I feel like my $30 that I spent, which is a lot of money, went to food I barely ate and didn’t enjoy.

The food is incredible. The people are incredible. The vibe is incredible. I cannot speak highly enough of the customer service I have received here. The store was closed but they still had food and Kadeen was more than happy to serve me, and was the nicest person ever. I will be a regular here.

So I don't know anything about authentic Jamiacan grindz since I've only lived in IL and HI my whole life, but I like food with flavor especially w/ spices. They had a food truck in Waikiki which is where they got me hooked on their jerk pork (jerk pork over mac pictured below). They're now located in town directly on bishop in the executive center. Its easier to see when you're walking makai. I've had their sliders, jerk chicken combo plate before and was very happy with everything. The spices are warming, not too hot imo. And everyone I've encountered has always been friendly.

I was fortunate to run into their food truck on Hickam. I ordered the Jerk Salmon over a bed of shredded Jerk chicken, rice, and peas. The Jerk Salmon was season to PERFECTION! When I took a bite, I almost started crying because it tasted so good! The Jerk chicken, rice, and, peas was a nice ensemble, and complimented the dish well. Washed it down with their Pineapple Ginger Lemon Ice Tea, which was very refreshing! Definitely recommend! ?

Growing up in NYC/NJ this is the most authentic Jamaican food I’ve tasted outside of NY or Jamaica. My fiancée and I eat here regularly and have never been treated like less than royalty. The Jerk is just the right amount spice and flavor and the oxtail is fall off the bone. I am especially fond of the rice over peas and their improved Mac and cheese recipe is OUTSTANDING. We are always given A1 service from Kadeen and her staff G and Maddy! Winston's jerk recipe is top tier!!! Definitely a must-eat for any Caribbean lover living or visiting in the island, and even better for patrons who have always wanted to try real Jamaican food. I cannot WAIT to eat there again.

The best Jamaican food on the island!! The food is always so good, fresh, and authentic! Love all the spices and flavors! The workers and owners always have great customer service. My favorite is the shredded jerk chicken over Mac and cheese or the oxtail plate with rice and peas. Definitely a must try!

Went to the food truck today, was told the wait was 10 minutes. Well we ended up waiting over a hour. The food was okay but the meat I got was mostly bone so for the wait it wasn't worth it. The cook or owner (idk what he was) was approaching people as they were walking away to try to get they to stay. Was a little aggressive about it. I don't think we will be returning. Taste was great but for the cost and wait, wasn't worth it.

My family was visiting from Los Angeles and had a taste for Jamican food. My husband called the restaurant, ordered the food and told them that he was on his way via an uber. Once he got there, they told him that they ran out of food. This was highly unprofessional and a huge inconvenience. If you are thinking about ordering from this place, think again and pick something else. They are not ready to render satisfactory service.

I struggle to find the right words that best describes how incredibly ono the oxtail is. Came with a slaw/kraut and bean rice. 10/10 recommend when downtown
