Very good food truck! Tasty food and generous portions, reasonably priced. Original garlic sauce a winner! Be forewarned: cash only and 15-20 min wait for food after ordering.
Best place and a high quality chef
There's no truck here. No response to text messages or phone calls. It's 6pm on a Thursday and the hours say 11am-9pm. Glad I wasted my time getting out here.
Food was delicious. A bit of a wait, but worth it.

This is cash only vendor. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. One plate was enough for 2 people. This is also a made to order vendor, and because of the popularity, it will take a while for your food to be ready. I definitely recommend.

Compared to price, steak quality is so good. The garlic sauce is so perfectly matcing with steak and it is cooked perfectly. Actually it's much better than restaurant! 오아후 스테이크 푸드트럭중 제일 맛있어요!! I want this place lasts longer!!! ??❤️?

Imagine a place where you can go to get a high-quality teppanyaki dinner, walk right up to the chef and tell him exactly what you want and how you want it done, and then he makes it on the spot for you to take and enjoy wherever you like. This is that place. Located across from Don Quijote, the Iron Grill food truck has been in business for over 10 years, and I can attest to the enduring quality that keeps them going. I had the pleasure of speaking to the owner and chef, Sang, who was both attentive and sincere in making sure my order was a 5 star experience.I got the steak option with added shrimp, asparagus, broccoli, with garlic fried rice. The meal came with a nicely-sized side salad and the dressing was excellent. The portions are more than enough for 2 people and the presentation was great for something that got boxed up! The steak was ample, tender, and cooked expertly - the quality cut of ribeye used was very clear. On a rainy night, I waited maybe 15 minutes for him to work his magic. His truck plays a nice blend of jazz music to set the mood while you wait, and he also has beer and wine pairings available to complete your meal.Overall, I think the Iron Grill is a shining example of doing good business. The food speaks for itself, but the personal touch and effort that Sang puts into his work will keep you coming back. I know I will.

I went here for a year and it was good. My family and I all enjoyed it very much. I recommended IG but warned that the "cook" has attitude. After his wife (mystery lady in black mask) left him, everything went down hill. We went 5-6 times in a row and it was primarily just inedible gristle. He had a bad attitude each time we visited, he would ignore my husband's presence at the window, be short with each of us for no reason at all. We stopped going for months. Then many businesses closed and I don't eat raw meat so we weren't left with hardly any options for late dinners. When we went back, I texted him everytime NOT ALOT OF GRISTLE PLEASE and he would make decent plates when I texted this. Just 2 or so inedible bites... However. This last time, after waiting 35 min for my "food": literally every. single. piece was inedible. I could not tear them apart with my hands. I ate nothing but sauce and rice since it was 8pm and I hadn't ate all day. I returned to the "cook" and showed him this plate. He said "this is the quality I can get for the price. Baby learn how to cook your own food." Word for word.Lousy excuse for a cook. No apology, shame, or offer to remake the plate. I tossed the gristle plate into the food truck and walked away... If he knows his product is sub-par, he should make that known before taking my money (after he raised the price). We live Hawaii and its too expensive to waste on inedible plates. I have my own small business. I have kitchen and serving experience, and my husband is a cook. He works 12 hour shifts into the evening, so he is not home to prepare dinner. Criticize to yourself. I do not regret my action. Attached photo shows all the gristle I could not eat and the watery sauce. Every bite had gristle, I was not able to swallow 1 bite.

beware when we went to the address listed could not find the food truck anywhere! Thankfully there were other food places around.
Does not exist at 1610 Makaloa as of 11:30am 8 Sept 2023. Submitted correction to Google to have this removed. Luckily there were plenty of other food stalls around.
As per the reviews, I had to wait about 10 minutes to order, and after ordering I was told it would take about 30 to 40 minutes, so I killed time at Donki, went to pick it up 40 minutes later, and had to wait another 30 minutes.
I ordered the garlic steak and shrimp combo, which seemed to be popular according to everyone's reviews.
I'm sorry for everyone's high ratings, but it's super intense. It's true!
The steak was so hard from the first bite that I couldn't finish chewing it, and I was at the point where I was wondering if I should swallow it or spit it out. I don't think it would suit Japanese people who are used to soft meat.
The taste is very strong and it's not good at all. No wonder why it's so popular. Is it because the food in Hawaii is generally bad?
And I watched it all the time while I was waiting, and I can say with certainty that it's not good for running a kitchen truck. In addition, the prices are high...Prices in Hawaii in general have been high due to the effects of the coronavirus, but I think it would be at a level where you wouldn't be able to sell it for even 500 yen in Japan.
