Today I got the Pastrami Reuben and Fries (requested extra crispy). The Reuben was awesome, nice and crunchy toasted bread, a nice chunk of some soft pastrami, and a nice bite/funk from that sauerkraut. The fried were crunch on the outside and soft and moist inside. Great quick bite for lunch.

For plate lunches this is the place to go in manoa. Great food, affordable and friendly staff. Tried the Philly steak sandwich...so ono. Even the bbq chicken sandwich was so good too. Get the fries also. The plates are well worth it. The friendly staff so great. The steak plate runs out early so get there early if you want steak. Good grindz!! Check em out!! Highly recommend it

Super Ono and flavorful. Very affordable price, especially with the inflation these days! We did a to go order and didn't have to wait long at all for our food to come out. I got the hamburger steak plate and it was delicious. Their Mac salad reminds me of my childhood favorite as well!

Mom and pop sandwich shop. Dark lighting and boring ambiance. Decent subs and burgers. Service is very poor. If you’re white or Asian, the food is served to you. If you’re a person of color, your food is left on top of their trash can and she’ll call you over to come grab it. I’ve witnessed it and experienced it on more than one occasion, so it wasn’t just a “bad day”. Disappointing, to say the least.
Island Subs and Burgers is my go-to in Manoa. Very affordable and friendly small business owners. I always know I'm going to have a great meal when I come here. Indoor seating is also open! Love their fries with the lemon pepper seasoning!

I was excited about the eggplant penne but there was hardly any eggplant. 90% penne and 5% sauce and 5% eggplant. Flavor was good but the marinara sauce was very sugary. The Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger was excellent and a great deal for the price. Fries were perfect!

Great sandwich shop in Manoa that makes a killer Pastrami cheeseburger . They also have a good pastrami sub sandwich. Definitely be back to try more items on the menu. Located in the Manoa shopping center next to Longs and Safeway.

The New York Dog with the famous Nathan's hot dog (thicker than ones they sell in Safeway) was perfect with the sauerkraut, relish, onions, and mustard!! Juicy and clean! Friendly owners too!
