First time here. Small little hole in the wall. Love the fire chicken! It's spicy just how I like it! Bulgogi was nice and soft. They just opened so it wasn't too busy. Also loved the music they were playing! A lot of BTS, some black pink and Jay Park Definitely family style to share Definitely want to come here for dinner to see their menu

Hidden gem with great food! I had a great experience at Jagalchi - though the food took a while to come out, service was great, and the dishes we ordered were really good + came in big portions. I checked in on Yelp and also received a free appetizer (choice of mandoo or seaweed rolls). It was hard to choose just one favorite out of the three things ordered. I loved the rabokki, kalbi soup and mandoo! I have to say portions here were generous considering my bf and I don't usually have leftovers, but I was able to take some rabokki for my home lunch the next day. The servers were all really nice and since we waited a while for our food they gave us free Yakult drinks after our meal for dessert :'). Overall, would definitely recommend jalgalchi, and we'll be back to try all the dishes we were eyeing out but couldn't order this time around!

Dined here a while ago before the renovations took place, and the food wasn't good. Not to mention, the ambiance was just terrible--very run down and dirty. Decided to give this place another chance, not once but twice, after reading some of the reviews. Boy were we disappointed again. Only this time, we didn't stay to eat. Our first attempt was a fail because another customer was coughing up a storm and we didn't want to catch whatever she had, so we left and ate elsewhere. Yesterday, we tried coming here for dinner and the vibe was just off. Music was too loud, and I honestly felt like I was at a bar instead of a Korean restaurant. Plus, the tables available to us were the worst ones in the restaurant--next to the bathroom/kitchen area. One of the tables was larger, but we had to be aware of our head placement while seated, due to the glass display, and the other was way too small for 3 people. My mom and I contemplated whether we would stay or leave, and after looking at the food at other tables, we decided to leave. While I was walking out, a huge fly hit my head, which made me glad we were leaving. Ended up going to another Korean restaurant with a better ambiance and friendlier staff. Definitely won't be coming back.

"It's not my fault that you're busy" is what I would have liked to have said to our server. The food is amazing. We arrived a bit before noon on a Saturday just behind a large table. The stress on our server's face was already visible and for a moment I considered leaving...but we endured. Unfortunately, it didn't get better. Service was rough, outright unfriendly as clearly our server was overwhelmed. First off: 10AM -4PM they offer a brunch menu. Many of their signature items are not available, like Rabokki, KFC Wings, tteokbokki and more. No worries..we can pivot. Heres what we got.... *Firecracker Cheesey Chicken. Super yummy. Generous portion with a good spicy kick! *1/2 order of Bossam ( Pork Belly with Fish sauce, gochujang, sliced raw garlic, jalapenos, daikon kimchi and salted cabbage leaves). Great dish! This was my favorite. *We also ordered the Fried Seaweed Rolls but we were given Mandoo instead. No bother. They were delicious. *Banchan offering skimpy with only three choices ( other tables hot four) and never any refills offered. It's cute inside with some clever touches, including old bottles filled with water and floating toys that adorn the wall. My dining partner in crime adored the place so I know we will give them one more chance but if we encounter unfriendly, almost hostile service like that again...I don't care how good the food is...we won't come back.

Food: 5 stars and amazing. Where they lack is service because they only have one lady working in the front and she doesn't have good hearing. So, when you order with her verify what you ordered. The food we ordered: army stew, rice and dumpling soup, spicy vegetables soup were amazing. I ordered the spicy pork but it never came. It went to another table and the waitress stated I ordered the beef plate. I wouldn't come back to this place because of the customer service but the food is really good.

We were looking for a Korean restaurant open kind of late and found Jagalchi. The food was execellent! Service was great and atmosphere lively, we'll be coming back for sure.

Found this gem randomly on Yelp. I think it'll be a really fun place. If you go to a big group of people because serving sizes are pretty large. Our waitress was very attentive and our food came out per hot.I really enjoyed the seafood pancake!

This is my new go to Korean place! Every food I had was bomb and the customer service is great! There's plenty parking too! The setting in the restaurant is calm and friendly.

Great little hole in the wall!! Gets busy cause the food is great. Came in around 6:30 and space was still available. By 7 pm, line was out the door. They are a bit short staffed with only 2 working the floor, but service was decent, given the circumstances. Staff was friendly and remained positive. Definitely recommend getting an order of Bossam and tteokbokki!!! Yum!!!

Discovered this restaurant as a recommendation from social media. Decided to check it out as people were raving about the food and the full renovation. The vibe here was hip and casual. The cheese corn was a little greasy but still good. The 3 combo wings composed of crispy wings (average fried chicken), garlic shoyu (pretty good), and spicy yang yum chicken (it was more of a sweet and spicy taste). The so tteak portion was small but worth getting. The seafood jun was also good too. The highlight of our order was the rabakki combo. It was delicious! It is worth trying. Overall, all the dishes were 5/5! Service: 4/5...We went early on a Saturday evening. Our waiter took our order quickly and the wait to get our food was reasonable. We waited a while to get our boxes and the check. I think the waiter was also the owner and it was only him manning all the tables. Despite the long wait at the end, I would come here again.

Cost: $$ Service: 3.7/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Presentation: 5/5 Taste: - Shoyu garlic chicken: 5/5 - Rabokki: 4/5 - Cheese fire chicken: 4/5 - Yujacha: 5/5 Cost: This is definitely a good place to go with a group, so you can try many different things. The food is served "family style" so the pricing makes sense for its size, but still slightly costly. Service: There were only about two or three people running the front of house, but they were attentive when serving our table. We ordered 7 items off the menu and it took roughly 40 minutes to arrive. It seems like they try time the cooking so that all the food comes out at around the same time. So, do not expect to get your food until everything's finished in the kitchen (based on our experience.) Also, when our banchan arrived, it had a gnat crawling all around it. The men's bathroom sink was very inconvenient, the faucet was so short that when you try to wash your hands you end up touching the bowl of the sink, which is disgusting. Ambiance: We went to Jagalchi at night and they do a great job with emulating a similar vibe as a tent bar in Korea. Upon entry you are captivated with lights that give a sense of feeling of how it's actually like in Jagalchi-- unbeknownst to the customer. There were also bottles along the walls used as decorations which added to the appeal of the restaurant's aesthetic. Lastly, there are framed photos posted around the restaurant referencing various kdramas and reality kpop shows that definitely would cater to their target audience of customers, but also isn't too "overdone" to deter customers with no knowledge of Korean pop culture. Presentation: The photo's explain themselves. Absolutely immaculate. Chef's kiss. Taste: Shoyu garlic chicken... We will be dreaming about it for the rest of our lives. It's too good-- personally, we think it's the best on the island. The sweetness and garlic combination was perfectly balanced to us, but we can see it being a bit too sweet for others. The flavor was not lacking at all, and very juicy. The rabokki looks a lot spicier than it is, it's honestly very mild-- sriracha is spicier (this is a running theme for all of our "spicy" dishes.) The sauce had a nice thickness/creaminess to it, but not super flavorful. It had a nice variety of textures and ingredients to choose from. The cheese is a must. For everything. The crispy seaweed rolls are really good and we wish we had ordered them as a pupu as well. One thing my partner would like to note is that the ramen in the rabokki was a bit overdone, it was mushy. I was a bit disappointed that the cheese fire chicken isn't made with fried chicken, though it is my fault for not asking-- the photo can be a bit misleading. The dish itself looks very appealing, however it lacks in flavor in comparison to the shoyu garlic chicken. It's also a very oily dish, which could be unappealing to many (The spicy pork bulgogi also had this issue, it was swimming in a pool of bright red oil.) Although this dish can make you sweat, it's once again not spicy at all. I found myself gravitating towards every other dish on the table, however my partner seemed to quite enjoy this dish which is why we settled at a higher rating. My personal rating on this dish would be a 3.7/5, without cheese i'd give it a 2.8/5. The only drink we ordered was the yujacha. It's a hot tea, which the server does notify you of upon ordering, but the image on the menu does indicate it being a cold tea. The menu also shows a much larger glass compared to the small tea cup that we received. HOWEVER, this tea is incredible. We would kill to drink this tea again. This was our first time drinking yujacha and we both agree we'd go out of our way to come back just for this tea (and shoyu garlic chicken.) It is God's nectar. So good we forgot to take a picture before it was gone.

BEST Korean food on the island!! Date night with the hubby, this place was bumpin' and for good reason!! Everything was yummy. My favorite was the chives Jun! A MUST TRY! Service was great even for a really busy night. I returned a week later and had breakfast...by myself....because it was THAT good!!

Don't know if it's authentic, but it sure is delicious!!! Everything we ordered was so yummy and full of flavor. Don't know what I'd choose as a favorite because it was all so good! Tried the cheese corn, mandu, seaweed roll, chicken wings, meat jun, kalbi, and bulgogi. Eyeing out to try the rabboki at the next visit.Went on a Friday night, and it was super busy! There was only one server at the beginning, and he was hustling between the people in the restaurant, answering the phone, and packing take out orders. Understandably, getting some of our items took some time, but they were very apologetic and still very friendly.Looking forward to coming again.
