Great food with lots of menu items to choose from and convenient location with lots of parking at Alamoana shopping center. The place can get really crowded and there is barely enough room to move around in the restaurant. Sure wish they had carts to choose from.

Horrible service; food so-so, lack seasoning though presentation was good. It took 45 mins for our meal to arrive on a Wednesday night when it was not busy. Waiters and hostess did not care our food did not arrive. When it finally arrived, no taste. Unfortunately, this place will continue because it is the only Chinese restaurant in Ala Moana Shopping Center.

Grandma and grandpa never got main meal only deserts. Great feed nothing but deserts to two diabetics. Yep we got sick and after repeated requests for main meal that’s over an hour and a half, we left. Then the little fella wants to get paid for the deserts. Grandpa refused saying we never got our meal. Owner came in and compted deserts. Grandpa took grandma out for pho instead. Finally we ate and felt better. Not going back to jade dynasty ever again. Can’t get good.

We found a COCKROACH in the beef balls and they waived the fee of the beef ball and gave 30% discount for the whole meal. The whole meal should have been waived, because this is unacceptable for a restaurant.

First time trying out the dim sum here on the 4th floor...a little tricky to find but it's at the Macy's end and up the escalator or elevator. We are from Vancouver, Canada, so once we taste the dim sum, we will know if it is authentic and good or not. Well, Jade Dynasty's dim sum is excellent and very reasonably priced. Most dishes are $5.50 while Kapiolani Seafood dim sum is average $6.95 but equally tasty. Our favorite dishes at Jade are: chicken feet...very juicy and plump 3 of them in an order; siu mai with shrimp very authentic tasting; fried taro dumplings are excellent; shrimp moon shaped fun gao are the best with so much filling; beef balls are very good; bean curd roll with shrimp also excellent. Everything was very delicious and very traditional Hong Kong style tasting which is hard to find these days, at least in Canada. In Canada, many of our dim sum restaurants are no longer the Hong Kong style dim sum but rather the mainland China flavors. We liked the flavors of their dim sum so much that we will be returning this week for their dinner dishes.

Everything is dirty anyway!I was surprised at how much it felt like China...Some of the dishes were delicious, and some were not so delicious that I couldn't eat them. The shrimp was delicious overall. All the customer service staff are unmotivated. I was eating with local people and they said they didn't want to tip. I couldn't hide my surprise when I started vacuuming even though I was in the middle of eating. lol

Had business dinner there but it was so crowded, noisy and not so clean. Don't like it at all, comparing to other branches in Asia, this one is not even close. However, after I visited again for their dimsum, I found it probably has some dishes that are the most authentic dimsum restaurant on island, namely the ribs, dumpling variety dishes.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Restaurant. Valentine's Day was exceptionally busy. Dishes were unique and delicious. Service was very good. All dishes were hot and on time. However, desert was not exciting. Compliments to chef and management.

For our first time here it was an amazing experience. We tend to have dim sum in Chinatown and wanted to give this place a try. After a hike, food was clearly on our min. They opened a little later compared to Chinatown. Plus it was a little trek trying to find it as the mall alone is a maze. It's located inside the Ala Moana mall on the fourth floor with was all restaurants. A small portion. We were early so they weren't even open yet. Plus from the reviews it always says there's a line. Walked around half an hour and came back. There was a group of people but didn't know if there were just lounging around or in line. But once that time to open hit, everyone got up and was ready to enter. We were first and didn't have a reservation as we didn't think we needed one right when they open. Basically by the time we sat down and looked at the menu to order, the restaurant was about 80 percent full already. It was more of the older crowd but, you know it must be good if it's full right when they open. And the place itself was pretty big. You order with the sheet and they bring out the dishes to you. Not with the trolling going around. Food was really good. Everything we had was excellent and the price was really reasonable as well. There's also a full bar if needed. This maybe our next go to for dim sum instead of heading to Chinatown. Food and shopping is a win. Heads up, it does get busy as we went the middle of week when they first open. Imagine the weekend, so reservations recommended.
