Love this small little cafe in Maui! The staff was pleasant and the food a juices Devine! Especially enjoyed the extraordinary customer service that Rylee delivered! She not only made my family feel like family, she helped her co-workers foster a team environment! I would so recommend this place and will return! A++++

Worst experience EVER! I wanted to order a Venti Americano which comes with 4 shots amd I requested that it be put in a smaller cup because I wanted less water in my drink so that the drink was more potent. Yesterday they wanted to charge me 50 cents for an extra cup. Today they argued with me and told me they would have to charge me for a grande which comes with 3 shots and charge for an extra shot which was $1.60. That would make my charge more than the Venti. I asked, why can't you just charge me for a Venti and just put my drink in a smaller cup. Apparently there is a "cup counter" and if they don't ring me in the system for a grande cup it throws off their numbers. Ridiculous! I work in commodity buys and I can guarantee you the cost of buying a grande cup is less than the cost of a venti cup. I feel so uncomfortable even ordering coffee there anymore. I just want frigging coffee. Horrible that I can't even go downstairs and buy an Americano without staff making up rules. If this is there policy, why is the price changing every day? Ridiculous.

We are 22 year ID Card holding retired veterans that were unable to get reservations here during our vacation so we booked a nearby hotel. We visited the Hale Koa to use the pool and other facilities and were told we couldn’t??? The pool was for hotel guests and their “guests” (non military ID holders like mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandparents) only!!! We earned the right to use these facilities! We understood the restrictions during Covid, but there are no restrictions now. What gives?

We stayed there for a night. Went to the pool and the gate person Shawn PE’A at the poolside was very rude. He got an attitude when we checked in at the pool. After we went in, my nephew and I went up to the sitting area by the infinity pool. He started to scream and yell at us “ get out of there right now!” multiple times! I understand I missed the sign that under 18 can’t be up there but he could have getting up and talked to us instead of screaming!!! We were only standing at the sitting area, not even in the pool! What kind of service is that? We paid money to stay there to get yelled at? Worst customer service ever! It made me scared to go to the pool after that!

Charline-Reservations, Sharleen-Reservations, Caroline-Front Desk, Joanne-Front Desk, Ana-Front Desk, Matt-Front Desk, Lucia-Reservations/Front Desk, and Elsie-Room Services are outstanding staff at the Hale Koa. Each of these individuals went above and beyond to provide the highest quality of service to me and my family during our stay. The room reservation that either Charline or Sharleen placed for my family was fantastic. We could not have asked for a better room or accommodations. We stayed at the Ilima Towers and had a partial ocean view. The partial ocean view rooms are just as nice as the ocean front in my opinion. Each individual listed performed their speciality above and beyond what their respective position requires. My family and I would have loved to stay longer only because of the individuals listed. The Hale Koa Military Resort has the highest ratings on various platforms only because of these individuals.

Terrific stay with the family! This was my second stay with the wife and first for our kids - can't say enough great things about the hotel. Great staff, nice clean rooms, & great location. Check in was long, but we were checking in at 3pm HST. Only 2 elevators working on check in day in the Ilima tower, but was only an issue the day of check in. Location is great! Right on the beach. The kids enjoyed the pool - but hated the safety check every hour (adult swim)! Breakfast buffet was awesome! Parking was a reasonable charge at $20/day. Can't wait for a return trip!

No light roast-in 7 days. If you want almond milk it’s an EXTRA 1$ for a splash!

We were fortunate to be sponsored to stay here through family members. Our room faced the garden area and it was quiet the whole time. The food was wonderful and it was nice to have access to the store if we forgot anything. The food was yummy at the restaurant and the staff were attentive. We felt pretty safe staying here.

As a military veteran this hurts me to write a negative review on anything military. The staff at the hotel are rude and don’t treat military guests and families with any respect. This hotel has not been taken care, the beds were hard as a rock. My recommendation is to spend the extra hundred dollars and stay at the Hilton right next-door. It’s like staying at hotel 6 when you can stay at Disney World. The pools at the Hilton are 100% nicer and the pool staff are a lot friendlier to families. The pool staff at the hotel act like they don’t want to be there and are very rude to families with kids. I complained to the management about the pool staff, and the manager said this is the first time anyone has complained. While making the complaint he answered his cell phone several times so he didn’t care. Later that night I started reading the reviews on here and guess what I found several complaints about pool staff. So the manager lied he is aware because I believe the people who stated in there reviews they spoke to management about the pool staff. The one good positive thing was the luau, which is top notch and worth every penny.

Been coming here almost 50 years - since my father was on active duty. (Maybe I already left a review following previous visit.) Start on website and determine if eligible. RSVP allowed one year in advance. Price varies depending on your rank. Book one year ahead and reserve a deluxe oceanfront room. These are limited. Regular ocean view is also nice. The prices here are unbelievable. TIP - If you are here on Friday night, an oceanfront room in the older Ilima Tower provides a front row seat to the Hilton Hawaiian Village fireworks (Friday 8pm). Location is in Waikiki, pool is renovated, parking is much lower than other locations in Waikiki, restaurants next to pool is convenient for quick takeout, and small NEX downstairs. We’ll return 100%

We mistakenly made online reservations at a restaurant that is only meant for active military personnel. One of us is a veteran, but there’s not capacity for veterans. So we didn’t repeat the error, although it was very tempting. Everything was divine!
