Now that is an amazing burger! Excellent combination of ingredients to get a party in your mouth. We arrived early and were first in line, we’ve been to other markets and seen a huge line. Either way you do it - it is worth it. We also got the truffle fries and split the burger between two adults in the middle of the day. Worth the hype!

You must try this burger if you’re in Hawaii. I got there super early, before 8 am, so I only waited about 10 minutes. I don’t normally eat burgers, but this one was so good—the meat was super juicy and definitely the best burger I’ve ever tried so far!!

Finally got to try their burgers. They had a special event in Waikiki on a Monday and so glad I got to try it without any lines!
Final verdict: burger was delicious, a good smash burger. It wasn’t dry and it’s got a good char. The truffle sauce was kinda weak and runny. It’s a mess to eat but nonetheless it went really well with the burger. The patty could have more beef flavor and could use a tad bit more salt.
Not saying it wasn’t good but for $19 I’ve had better. I would definitely not stand in line for this. I’m just glad I got to try it without waiting otherwise I would be so disappointed.
Worth a try? Maybe if there’s no wait. Worth waiting for more than 15 mins? Probably not.

WOW!!!! In my opinion not overrated at all and so worth the wait. I opt for light sauce and it’s saucy, crispy and full of flavor. The staff are hard working and super friendly despite the demand.

The owners are hardworking and seem like good people. With that aside, I was a bit disappointed in the burger. I felt like all the ingredients were great and even smelled amazing but the taste just wasn't there for me. It lacked flavor and the truffle sauce kind of overpowered the flavor of the rest of the burger. I tried to take a bite of the side that is not covered in the sauce but it still tasted a bit bland. Can definitely see the quality but I feel like the burgers can be seasoned a bit better. I honestly prefer the Daley or Boarded up by cubbies as they have better flavor profile.
Best smashed burgers! The white truffle sauce on top with the side chipotle sauce are 2 great combos. Get a lot of napkin it'll get messy. So good!

I’ve been watching JOJA on IG and had to give them a try during my visit to Oahu. DELICIOUS!! The smash burger was juicy and packed with flavor. I am glad I lined up 20 mins before they opened at Kakaako Farmer’s Market. We waited no more 35 mins for our order. We appreciate Unk on the grill and the JOJA fam! It was so good, we plan on going again one more time before we leave when they are in Ewa Beach. JOJA is a must every time we are on the island! Mahalo!

Well, the burger is good if you like cheesy burger. It is just too long a wait for the burger under the sun (1.5 hr for around 40 ppl ahead of us) and this creamy hot burger become not so tempting and I just want a shaved ice instead

On one hand the burger is great. Crisp patty, caramelized onions, tons of truffle sauce. The taste is fantastic, but it IS a lot of sauce. It's a wet freakin burger, you'll get messy brah. It's also a good size.
On the other hand it's EXPENSIVE. And a pretty long wait sometimes. (Edit: updated description! ) Nearly 20 bucks for just one burger with no add ons, BUT it is a double patty, and it's quality, but just something to consider.
Overall a really unique burger and one of the best on island.
