I was there for a takeout, it was about 1:00pm. The staff was unwelcome, rude, lazy and the Taco's were very small with little meat, I waited 30 minutes for my tacos and the restaurant had less then a handful of tables. I would have been better off going to Taco Bell.

I placed my order by phone for pick up. The place looked very inviting and festive. If I was to dine in it looked like it would have been nice.
I got the chicken enchilada plate with beans and rice. It came with a bag of chips and salsa.
I thought the enchiladas were good but was a little disappointed with the refried beans. I could be wrong but it almost had the same consistency of a canned refried beans. The rice was a little too dry and I had to add a little salt to the salsa.
But for being on the island, I think it was pretty good. I did feel like it was a little pricey for 2 enchiladas with a little rice and beans though. The service was fast and nice.
I would definitely recommend you try them out.

Used to go here as a kid with my dad & just returned to visit with my kids. Great spot for everyone, reasonable prices, and lots of drink choices

I ordered takeout and besides the small portion size and high cost, it was a good experience. Waiter was friendly and efficient. However I did spend $20 for one single small taco, some rice and beans and chips/salsa. I was left hungry, which is rare for me.

Ive been here many of time through the years. From what I've read. What most of the customers writing are accustomed to, most likely meals that are from corporate restaurants or gimmick restaurants, this is straight forward and old school family ownd restaurant trying to survive. The food here is simple, the staff kind but never there for you. But for atmosphere I bring it myself. Like my freinds or family, we talk and catch up. If you have a refined palet and are use to spending money or just like like the food served at most most maint stream corporate restaurants, this is NOT the place for you. I don't like cilantro on everything like everyone is doing today. By the way it's America style Mexican food. Chili's is food made to the area and ever evolving but not one style. I've worked there. By the way is no chef there. They do not create dishes. The cooks there provide you with a set menu. I go there because the menu and flavor has not changed nor has the menu for the most part.

Amazing food! I loved the chicken fajitas-chicken was cooked ton perfection, the peppers were charred just right, the rice and beans were delicious too!! My husband had a delicious taco salad. I can see why this place has been in business for more than 50 years. Our service was fabulous too!! Highly recommend!

I don't want to ever complain or make a fuss especially as someone who works in the service industry. Unfortunately today's experience was horrible and I would never want anyone to experience what we went through. I understand being short staffed, but being rude and unapologetic is not cool. We waited a few mins when we arrived before being acknowledged and told that it will be 5mins, no hello but straight to asking us how many and being told it will be 5mins. We were fine waiting since it was lunchtime. The employee was able to bring us to our seats and told us 5mins and walked away. Not even a min later she comes and asks us what qe want to order. My gf ordered a drink and I didn't know what I wanted so I just asked for water. She then comes back our drinks and asks what we want to order. We told her our drinks but she was rushing us to decide and we just decided to get taco salads. We ended up both having Margaritas since she was off and I just finished work for the day and we just wanted to relax and eat. The margaritas did not taste like a Margarita, it was in between frozen and over ice style that didn't taste like the fruit flavors. We just drank it because we didn't want to make a fuss and have it wasted, plus we didnt get a chance to let her know about our experience. She asked us once how everything was but she didnt wait for a response and just rushed away before we could answer. Taco salad was pretty good for the size, taste and price. The chips that were given were hard and stale but we were starving so we just ate it. We tried getting the attention of the gentleman that dropped our food off but he left before we could ask for utentils. We didn't get any Utensils or napkins to start and had to grab our own which thankfully was next to us. Not even a few bites into our food, our server placed our check down not even asking if we wanted to order any food or drinks with what we had before she rushed away. We felt so rushed and didn't get to enjoy our time. The server seemed to be having a rough day or something because she even kept pointing to seats to tell other customers to sit without saying hello or acknowledging them other than saying how many. I hope her day gets better so everyone has a better experience than we did. I think it wouldn't have been a terrible experience if they just acknowledged us and apologized saying they are short staffed or whatever it was for them to be rushing around instead of barking our things to us and rushing us. We just wanted to be treated with the same respect and understand that we had showed. May this be a one off situation and or be corrected.

The food was delicious! I had the chimichanga, and my friends ordered the soup, enchilada, and steak. The service was great as well.

Andrew Pershinini post exactly. Taco Bell is better.

-Rice was Mushy.
-Dessert Cheesecake with Pruree tasted funny.
-Mexican pizza was burnt mediocre at best.
-big kahuna burrito was small for $22 bucks

overpriced by atleast $30.

will never go here again.

HAVING EATEN AT JOSES FOR MORE THAN FORTY (40) YEARS AND IT WAS NEARLY 4 MONTHS SINCE I ATE THERE RECENTLY (in this year); MY
FRIEND AND I ATE THERE LAST NIGHT AND THE FOOD HAD RADICALLY CHANGED AND IT WAS AWFUL! (HAVING SPENT MORE THAN $100 WITH TIP). APPARENTLY THE NEW GENERATION HAVE ABANDONED THE ORIGINAL FAMILY RECIPES FOR SOME TASTELESS VARIATION OF “TEXMEX” REPLETE WITH SPONGY FAKE TORTILLAS AND VINEGAR TASTING RANCHERO SAUCE… SO SAD TO WITNESS THE MARTINEZ FAMILY RECIPES BEING ABORTED…
