I don't know if this place is still owned by the Martinez family. I worked at La Paloma on Kapiolani Blvd. a l-o-o-n-g time ago which was owned by José and Laura, the parents. I think their son ran José's. I lived on 18th Avenue and ate here a couple of times, but the food wasn't the same as La Paloma.La Paloma had a tortilla machine in a side room of the kitchen.
