We stopped in for cold brew and were sadly disappointed. I ordered coffee with cream and macadamia nut syrup. The coffee came out no syrup which isn’t a big deal I just asked for it assuming it was missed by mistake. The girl gave me a small cup with it to pour it into my drink. Also not a problem but overall her demeanor, as well as the cashier, were not very friendly. I get that it’s a busy and touristy spot but having worked in hospitality my whole life I know that a little smile or “whops my bad let me fix that for you” goes a long way. Service aside the coffee was not good. I would not say I am a coffee snob by any means but we have had some truly delicious coffee while on the island and this was not doing it for us. Our cold brews were quite watered down and the syrup tasted like cheap almond syrup even though I ordered macadamia nut. I ended up throwing it out and getting a coffee at another shop that I loved. Overall I wish the business the best as I love supporting local, even a local chain. However, I would not recommend this from our recent experience.

Wow. Everything is excellent here. Best cappuccino's in Hawaii prepared by true baristas. Limited but Delicious breakfast selections. This place crushes Starbucks.

Edit: Kai coffee reqxhed put and provided me with refund because I was unhappy with the quality of food I received. They were very fast in response and helpfulness.
Super friendly and helpful service/staff. The location is great since across the street is kuhio beach (perfect for young children or people who dont like the ocean waves). There's a decent amiunt of seating, but it fills up fast since its a fairly pipular place to go. I went around 8AM to order coffee while with 2 young children. I ordered an expresso over ice with cream and a slice of banana bread. I dislike that many items they sell do not have a price. I had to ask how much the slice of banana bread is. The main reason for the low score is that the coffee is mid at best and my banana bread was burnt. The outside was rubbery and dry. The slice is thick and the inside was yummy. Pictures attached for reference. Im upset since i paid almost $6 for a slice of burnt bread. Also, There's no bathroom here.

Appreciate the quality syrups they use! The coconut foam topper they are featuring now is SO GOOD - must try!! 🤍🤍🤍
This is a fantastic place to grab a cup of coffee after a refreshing swim in the ocean all morning.

Food, pastries, and coffee is great! It does get crowded so I do suggest going early in the morning.

May2025 Well established local Hawaian cafe chain. This one is arguably the most busy and will have you waiting for an available table due to its busy location along the street.
Queues are the norm.

Great coffee, but a rather long line to wait.
Service and the expresso shot were good but the rest was not. The breakfast sandwich tasted like a frozen sandwich that was microwaved, very disappointing. The cold brew was horrible, very grainy and cloudy.

Coffee was good. Don't get the coffee cake, it's dry and tough, probably over a day old.
