Kaimuki Superette offers a wide array of sandwiches, salads, soups, and even sundries (like shirts and water bottles) all in one comfortable, casual, and adorable experience. I've tried a good portion of the menu, and I've yet to find anything that didn't make good on the promise for affordable and delicious local fare. If I had to choose a standout on the menu I'd say that anything with pork is phenomenal; the two lady farmer farmer sausage, and the carnitas sandwich never disappoint and always come with homemade pickles and fresh local greens. My only regret is not trying this place sooner. I always drove past and thought it looked good but only recently discovered it's more than just good, it's excellent.

Incredible as can be is the Hapa Fried rice omelette. I happened to be in the neighborhood at the time, so I decided to check it out. Both the wait staff and the chefs were very kind, and the food was delicious. In addition to that, I got a cold brew, which was also delicious. I will definitely go back to sample more of the items on their menu.

The Hapa Fried rice omelette is awesome. I just happened to be in the area and decided to check it out. The staff was really nice and the food was great. I also ordered the cold brew which was good also. I will be sure to return to try more of their menu.

No complains really. Went to have a business meeting. Staffs are nice. Food okay. Inside the restaurant was smoking hot. Limited outdoor seating. I'd stop by again for quick brunch if I live nearby within 1-2 blocks.

I met friend here and we have a nice lunch. They have an outdoor seating area, but it is right on Waialae Ave and pretty noisy. I had the ahi club and it was fine. Couldn't really taste the ahi, as it was sliced into a thin cutlet and cooked all the way through. It was served with greens and a few housemade pickles. I had hoped for more.

Cute spot I found on yelp. Almost everything I ordered was really good. I got the 1/2 grilled cheese and tomato soup and that was a bit bland. But my he'e sandwich (octopus) was super good and so were the side of roasted roots. Also, the little butter mochi was nice and crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It was a nice refreshing meal. Recommended.

Toasted and overindulged with too many fried goodies last night? Need to redeem your soul? Kaimuki Superette is just the place for you this fine morning. They open at 8 and have good coffee...drip or iced-the straight stuff for you purists! Real food offerings here....avocado toast- with bacon of course! "Fancy" scones made with goat cheese and cardamom....lime and mango muffins or what I had today-the Akamai bowl. Very very fresh greens with smoked fish, beets, carrots and a poached egg on top. Had a grilled lemonade to take home too (check in goodie) Inside and outside seating....street or parking in back. Honest tasty food for your soul. Ahhhhh sweet redemption!

I stopped here on my lunch break with a friend not to long ago. After ordering our food, we sat down and waited for our names to be called. My friend noticed something on the floor and when we looked closer, we saw multiple maggots wiggling around and going in every direction. My friend told the worker behind the counter to raise awareness to the bugs presence and instead of the employee taking action to rid the bugs, the employee handed my friend a napkin to kill the maggots with her hands. Definitely, not a clean and fun vibe. Unfortunately, we had already paid prior to finding the maggots so when our food was ready, we obviously felt weird about food being prepared in such a maggot friendly environment and threw the food away. We left, feeling very uncomfortable and called to request refunds for our food. We were told only the owner was able to process refunds but not to worry because they will take down our information and we will surely get out refunds shortly. This never happened. We never heard back or got refunded our money. all around horrible experience, don’t go.

The mango muffin was otherworldly! Plus, great music!

Absolutely enjoyed this place. The selection of food was really good and the quality excellent. There is only street parking and there always seems to be a space or two available in front. The people are always friendly. Highly recommend dining in or taking out. You will not be disappointed. Forgot to mention they have yummy pastries also.

I love the vibe! The inside area is super cute and they have outdoor seating as well. The food took kind of a long time even though there was barely anyone there and they don't even make it from scratch to order. BUT the food was delicious and they have great scones.

This place has really great breakfast! I ordered the breakfast burrito- I asked to sub the egg/meat for extra roasted mixed veggies of any kind. They kindly let me customize it that way, and it turned out really great! They added avocado too which was a nice touch. I have gone back twice since then, ordered the same thing, and they are nice about it every time. Very accommodating and friendly staff + great food makes for a great local cafe!

I was supposed to meet a colleague here for coffee, but last minute she couldn't make it. I found myself on a solo date at the absolute cutest coffee shop ever.. and I was stoked. Smack dab in the middle of Waialae is this little gem. The aesthetics are so cute. They have a ton of options for drinks, but what stood out to me the most were all the awesome unique and healthy food options! I opted for the The Big 5, which comes with all five of daily veggie sides w/ bread. It was soooo good. The staff is super friendly, and the vibe is right there. I can't wait to bring my honey back here to come on a non-solo date. :)

The He‘e Roll is sooooo good. It's served like a lobster roll, but with tender octopus chunks. Their salads are super tasty and refreshing.

Very cute and humble little restaurant on Waialae Ave that offers breakfast and lunch. They have an interesting variety with a big emphasis on veggies. I got the soft scramble breakfast Sammie and added avocado and it was good for a lighter breakfast option. I should have ordered it with bacon which would've made it more satisfying but with the addition of avocado plus bacon it costs extra. Also, I'm pretty sure the bread they use is from costco. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but if I happen to be in the area than I would try one of their lunch options instead.
