I just came in for a snack. Soft shell crab and seaweed salad with a glass of Merlot. Very tasty crab and well presented dishes. Cocktail list is very comprehensive also.Vegetarian options: A good selection of vegetarian dishes.Kid-friendliness: Other diners had children.

The all you can eat is a super fun concept! If you want the premium rolls everyone has to be upgraded to premium. I recommend upgrading to premium for more variety and specialty rolls. Although the restaurant was short staffed, I thought the team managed it well. We went during lunch time so it was not very busy. We were able to order everything we wanted and more. We truly enjoyed the experience and food! The truffle fries were amazing as well as the jalapeño bombs for appetizers. I enjoyed the Bonnie and clyde roll, the hot cheeto roll and many more!

All I can say is yikes. The atmosphere is cool but if you eat here plan to spend 2+ hours and be disappointed. The manager did comp some items that took over 1.5 hours to come out (including the premade miso soup…). The food that we got was not bad, but not worth the wait or money. Go elsewhere.

It took one hour to receive my miso soup. We ordered the 5 piece wings and received only 2. When we asked for the other 3, we received 4 about 40 minutes later. I'd like to think they put those 3 wings in a high yield savings bond and we received the incurred interest.

No reservation is required. Friendly servers. Food quality is not bad but wait is long. Only 90-minute dine in is allowed and you wait for long time for your orders to be served. Short staffed with servers so expect your glass of water not to be refilled also.

The food were excellent. Everything is freshly made. It is by far one of the best sushi I’ve had in the U.S. The staff were friendly but the management needs to revamp their system. The service is horrible. The wait time per order is approximately half an hour each. We came in at 4pm. By 6:30pm. We still have pending orders that we ordered when we arrived. We even have to ask 3 staff to refill our drinks.

This place came highly recommend from a local for AYCE sushi. And I can see why, send the tourist here so that the good spots don’t get overwhelmed. Everyone here is just ok. However is is EXTREMELY slow. We came on Monday for lunch, it took 10mins from getting seated to being greeted and getting a drink order in.I’m actually still at the table writing this 2 hours (their menu says it’s an 1.5hr max) after we sat down, still waiting for the second round of sushi rolls to come out, and the miso soup we ordered with our drinksI honestly should have looked up reviews before coming. There are much better things to do in Hawaii than wait 2 hours for mediocre sushi. The only redeeming thing we ate as the snowflake sushi.

Do not waste your time and money. The service is horrible. They forget orders and what hot orders should be hot come out cold.

went here on a friday night and had what you wanted at an all you can eat place: sushi. the nigiri was good, especially the razor clam. they had some funky rolls too like the flaming hot cheeto roll which was surprisingly not bad! a little different takes on certain japanese food, but expected as you are in waikiki. besides the sushi, there was this really rude dude that was apparently mad at the lack of service? idk he yelled “NO TIP” at the top of his lungs while yelling at his wife and child. fat yikesParking: parking sucks in waikiki, walk from waianaeKid-friendliness: there’s kids here

A friend took me to check out Kan Sushi. I'm happy that we tried the sushi place. It was worth the drive. The food was amazingly delicious! The staffs service was fast answering friendly. Two waiters shared their favorites and must try of Kan Sushi. The restaurant is located where Makino Chaya used to be in Waikiki. You have one hour and 30 minutes to eat it's premium all you can eat sushi. $27.95 per adult for lunch and $14.95 per kids. The place is beautifully set up. It opens for lunch from 11:00 am. This place is definitely worth a place to add on your bucket list. Whether you're a local or tourist.

Food was not good. Rice tasted stale. Servers tried their best but it was so slow. Very unorganized. Took 20 minutes just to have our order taken. Would NOT recommend to others.

The ambiance of this place is fantastic . We made the premium sushi platters work because we ate a lot! I mean the food took kind of long to come to the table and the manager apologized, but when it came it came! Everything tastes fresh, tried the sampler twice, then the Hamachi Kama was worth the wait. I think everyone should go, just for the experience and the great food. Yes there will be wait , but it's worth it in the end!

The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Just a heads up, they serve only 1-2 dishes at a time, so some items might take a bit to come out. Lunch is the way to go here; dinner prices don't really match up with the variety and excitement of the lunch menu. They offer a 'premium' option for $20 a head, but honestly, I'd give it a pass. The beef bulgogi was shredded to bits and lacked flavor. The fried oyster was tasty, but the plating was a bit weird. The baked lobster roll was decent, but I bit into something hard--maybe sand? The truffle fries stole the show though; they were crispy outside, fluffy inside, and packed with truffle flavor. The Tom and Jerry roll was kinda meh, and the toppings didn't seem super fresh. The takoyaki was good, especially with that Kewpie mayo. Shoutout to our waitress though; she was so sweet and on the ball. Overall, it's a solid all-you-can-eat spot, but watch your wallet. Oh, and pro tip: parking's a pain, so hit up a garage and make a reservation to skip the wait

Came back here for dinner and was honestly disappointed. I had been raving about this place since they opened but after this last visit, I have decided to not come back again.. They changed up the menu, dinner pricing is now $38.95 but if you want any nigiri or sashimi it's an EXTRA $20 charge. They seem to have narrowed down the menu a bit and I was sad to see the mixed vegetable tempura not on the menu as it was soo good. One of the managers helped us at first and said "just to let you know it's going to be a while since the kitchen is backed up" We didn't get any waters until 20 minutes after we were seated and had to ask another waiter for water. The manager took forever to come back to take our orders so another waiter took over and he was great, he was trying to be as efficient as he could and was very nice. I felt bad because he had a whole side of the room maybe about 8 tables to help. The food was pretty disappointing this time. The Hot cheeto roll which was once so delicious came out of the kitchen and was 2 times smaller than it's usual size, soggy, and had so much mayo on it! Barely any spice sauce at all whatsoever. Chicken katsu was also soggy. We were there for 1 hr 45 mins waiting on the food... One of the servers walked around and said the managers were offering tables a "complimentary fried yellowtail" which was probably the best thing I had tonight... wish that was actually on the menu, it was hot, fresh, crispy, and the sauce that came with it was good. The seasoning tasted like a lemon pepper seasoning. Overall, food was mid and service from the one waiter was ok..

Service was so unbelievably bad. Our waiter never checked up on our table, asked if we wanted to order items, or refill drinks. We waited 45 minutes and only a portion of the things we ordered actually arrived. The food that actually made it to our table was mediocre. Fish quality was not great, bao buns were dry and the meat inside was so burnt it was inedible. For the price point we were completely disappointed and still hungry at the end of dinner. I would recommend Chiba Ken right down the road. Great service, good Japanese food at a great price.
