Excellent poke and great live music

This restaurant was perfect for poolside drinks and food. Michael was the best server we had during our stay at the hotel. He was prompt at taking orders and delivering food and drinks. They have live music every night and it provided a great atmosphere to our vacation.

Review for drinks only, didn't order food:
Our bartenders provided great friendly service.
The drinks were unique and flavourful. The traditional Hawaiian live music was perfect for the resort ambiance!

The wait staff was wonderful. The food was superb +++. The entertainment was wonderful along with guests who performed hula dances. What a great experience 🌸

We took the whole family there to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary for our final meal together before going back home and it was very special! The food was delicious, but the best surprise was a Happy Anniversary pineapple creme brûlée which they gifted us with to help us celebrate! There was also entertainment while we dined outside in perfect weather!

The meal was delicious but 2 people in our party ordered Caesar salad and they didn't tell us they were out of it for 45 minutes so than we had to wait even longer to get all our meals. Felt service was slow and I thought it was on the beach but it wasn't it was next to the hotel pool.

We enjoyed our meal at Kani Ka Pila Grill. we sat outdoors with the live band. quickly served, didn't wait too long. The half chicken on the bone was hard to eat, but it was very delicious. Water tasted a little chemically, son didn't like it. Loved the nacho's!!!! Would do it again.

We ate the night before at the Monkey pod and really enjoyed it so we figured we give Kani Ka Pila a try. On one of our excursions the driver said to try the pork chops in Hawaii. Well the grilled pork chop here is incredible. As my fiancé said it maybe the best pork chop he's ever had!! I had the coconut shrimp which was cooked perfectly. Jordan was our waiter who provided us with excellent service.

The kitchen was “backed up” and staffing was low, so our dinner was a “slow” experience. But that was fine, as the music was great and the impromptu hula dancers were a sweet addition to the experience. The menu is limited, but each of us found something we liked. Our waiter, in spite of having too many tables to see to, was very attentive. The general atmosphere was relaxed and we enjoyed visiting with our friends and listening to the guitarist. Would definitely go again—and always with reservations, as it is a popular spot.

Went to see Ho'okena play and had dinner as well. Coconut shrimp were very tasty. The salad with Mahi was good, but for $10, the piece of fish was very small. The Mai Tai and Blue Hawaii were both good. Still, nearly $100, after tip, for what we had is too much.
