Decent food that wasn't worth the cost.I ordered the "Trust Us" BBQ ribs and garlic shrimp combo plate. The best-selling ribs were edible - I didn't care for the slathered bbq sauce on top of plainly cooked ribs that were overcooked with burnt, crispy edges.The garlic on the garlic shrimp was extremely overpowering (unless you love to eat raw garlic). The garlic sauce also soaked the rice in the plate, taking away any chance to tone down the flavor.For the single plate priced at just below $30, I was disappointed by the quality and flavor of the prepared food.

The pulehu beef shortribs with all toss was a good keto option, and they gave a pretty generous serving . The last-minute side spicy poke order was made fresh to order. I watched the guy mix it in front of me. There is want of more parking and a dine in option, but the food was worth going. I'm looking forward to trying the garlic ahi next time.

Now this was unique. This is a local lunch station in an industrial area. Take away only. It is worth the trip. There are tons of places around to eat. Really nice staff, the food was excellent. Their specialties are brisket and shrimp. I even was greeted by a cool “I have been Expecting YOU!”. They are open 10-14:00 only!!!Parking: There is parking right in the front. Just preorder, stop and pickup. I attached a menu which will probably change depending on raw materials and season.

Everything is cooked to perfection.By far this is the best true local flavor place you can eat for lunch.For visitors and locals it does not get better than this.Every time i’m in the area and they are open. Went with a friend after a hike and picked up take out from Kau Kau Grill on my 2nd day in Oahu. Probably the best ribs and garlic shrimp I've ever had. It was comforting to see locals ordering from there and the guy behind the counter was great. My friend and I have been talking about it everyday and we took our 16 year old sons here the day before we left the island. We were afraid we might've hyped it up too much but when they started eating there was just grunting and nodding, and they said it definitely lived up to the hype.

Love the place—great plate lunch! Got the BBQ ribs and poke (forgot to take a picture of the poke, though)—both were awesome! The mac salad was good, too (they use spaghetti noodles, which I had never seen before. But still good!) The ribs were bomb—fall off the bone, great BBQ sause that had a great taste, but wasn't overpowering. They guy behind the counter is so chill and awesome. Definitely a place to grab some food and go to the beach. Heads up, it's an order and go kind of place, no room for eating there.
Had the short ribs and teriyaki chicken. Both were excellent! The short ribs were like bite pieces of steak on a bed of delicious rice. Highly recommend!
