Unfortunately this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The place is in a great location, and there was no wait, so we decided to try it. Upon being brought to our seats, we were seated at a dirty table. It took about 10 minutes to even take our drink orders and then 10 more minutes to bring out two waters and a coffee. Had to wait a little longer for the creamer that we already asked for. The coffee ended up being lukewarm and not that great.
The food didn’t take too long, we ordered the French toast. But it was cold on the inside. Really, it was kind of inedible. I think it may have been frozen and then attempted to be reheated or something. At that point we just asked for the check.
They were nice enough to take the French toast off the bill, but then we had to wait about 5 minutes at the front desk waiting to pay for the coffee.
This whole time, there were only 2 or 3 other tables seated in the entire place.
The girls who served us were friendly and nice, but seemed stressed or overwhelmed. Ultimately seemed like a management issue.

The view is great overlooking the park. Food options were priced appropriate and the portion sizes were adequate. Menu has lots of options for most appetites. Waitress was amazing and knowledgeable.

Came here with family kid friendly ! Food was delicious hot and good portions I got the morning scramble and my mother got the veggie scramble both extremely delicious. Mimosas are really good as well. Prices were great especially for Hawaii

Passed by this place a few times and decided today is the day to try it out. Quiet, clean, great patio overlooking the Ft.DeRussy park. Breakfast scrambles were fresh and delish, cappucino too. Ashleigh was on point and unobtrusive. It takes an extra special occurrence for me to go through with a review, stop by the Kayak Cafe for breakfast!

Best Açai bowl we have found on the island. Large portion, big enough for 2 people, compared to smaller take-out paper bowls at other restaurants and food trucks. The waiters we ok and the young waitress was particularly attentive and nice.

They need to put on more staff desperately.. We waited ages to order an hour for our food, we could see it sitting at the kitchen pass bench but staff didn't bring it over, the chef ended up bringing it out. My husband got the wrong meal, when his meal finally came, forgot to give him a knife to eat, when we got the knife was dirty. My meal was cold. We won't be back.
We had Breakfast at the Cafe and it was good. Our group was over 10. There service was great with all the various orders.

Had the burrata salad which was very good. And the calamari fritti which tasted a little fishy. They had $3 beer and I had a margarita that they had no problem swapping the tequila for rum. Our server was very nice and the service was very good but the food was just okay

We happened to walk by the Kayak Cafe last night and it was an absolute wonderful experience! The food was amazing. Our server,Catalina was awesome, so kind, accommodating and helpful. A sheer delight. The manager was also helpful and welcoming. We would highly recommend a trip to the Kayak Cafe. We are heading back there tonight as enjoyed it immensely. Don’t miss this restaurant.
