This is the place to go to for Chinese food. Probably the best fried rice I’ve ever tasted. Super fresh and very tasteful. Also ordered the plum button meat and the roasted duck. Super good food. 10/10 would recommend. Best Chinese food I’ve ever had.

God awful trap. The food is every Chinese joint you've already been to.Ordered the chili spicy chicken. It tasted like it had been dragged through someone's armpit.Fried rice was filled with kabage. Wait staff was incompetent and unable to understand basic issues. Despite reviewing very bad tasting food they refused to make amends. Do not come here. Do not eat here. There is no compromise.

Great place for a casual lunch and nice dinner. The team there is very attentive and provided us fresh plates for our seafood selection. The flavor of every dish was amazing and of course authentic which scratched the itch for Chinese seafood that I definitely needed!

The foods are reasonably good on the available selection. However, there are some items that are on seasonal market prices. So you just have to watch what you are ordering. Most of the dishes are tailored to serve 3-4 persons' portions. Parking is in the back of the restaurant.Parking: Street parking is hard to come by in certain hours because it is a main traffic street near many major shopping malls.

Not bad at all, I honestly thought I was getting the local garlic shrimp but this was actually Hong Kong style. My husband had the kung pow chicken which he loved . He also ordered the appetizer chicken wings which he thought was just ok, missing a little seasoning . I had the cucumber salad which was good it is done without the inside of the cucumber but still not bad at all . Portions were generous and the fried rice was delicious.

It pains me to give such a low rating to this restaurant bc honestly the food has always been good. But this is the 3RD time I've had something questionable about my bill. I always order the same thing. Black pepper beef and I ask to add some broccoli to it. When I first starting coming here they would do it no problem. Over the last few visits they have begun to refuse. So, I decided to ask for a side order of steamed broccoli and I can add it myself. Our check came and the side order of broccoli WAS $16. For blanched, plain broccoli. And, while everything else on the bill had an English description, this was the only item without English. Almost like it was being concealed... I had to count what we ordered to be sure that I was looking at the price for simple broccoli. I was. We used to recommend this place to everyone we know. I will not be doing that anymore because I'm tired of these shady billing experiences. Not to mention, they used to give a lot more food with each order and now they have cut down on the portion size AND increased the price at the same time. Never again. It saddens me how far this place has fallen so quickly.

Hot & Sour Soup is the hottest & most spicy H&S soup I've ever had. So hot that I couldn't eat it. They were so nice & apologetic, however we ordered it & the bowl was HUGE / Family sized & They offered Rice to cut the heat. My son Kept a small bowl & the rest went back. The Honey Shrimp was the Best I've ever had. It's very Loud due to concrete floors & stone walls. Unfortunately, there are Homeless people out front, however they seem to down & out to be scary, If you like wine, there's a BIG WALL OF WINE & really nice decor. After We paid the bill & tipped the 18%, the server offered us Tapioca then said no worries, no charge (maybe bc we had sent back all of the Soup except 1 bowl & paid for the Huge Bowl). ‍That Tapioca was AMAZING! Loved it! Sweet, delicate, perfect! I gave them another $5 cash for this generosity & all of them were so grateful & astonished. How beautiful! Here, The servers all helped each other, working the whole restaurant. Their generosity & true gratitude paired with very authentic Chinese/Cantonese Food, culture & genuine hospitality make this a 5 Star Yelp Restaurant. After the Tapioca, I really read the bill & they didn't charge us for the rice either! (which is free in many Chinese restaurants, but not here). It's not their fault we didn't like the soup. It might bother someone that they will put food they dislike on the bill, however they certainly compensated for it the best they could and in such a Lovely, kind way. We are all trying to make ends meet in this world & with costs of goods going up, too many "food go backs" could really hit a small business's bottom line. They ended up receiving a 30% tip. After all, it's how you make people feel that really matters. Giving them the extra cash made me feel so good & their response was truly of deep gratitude, all of them thanked us. My pleasure & Thank You, King Restaurant's employees! This experience exemplifies "a little goes a long way." Both directions.

The parking for the restaurant is decent since parking is in the back of the restaurant. The dining area is a decent size and the decor is fine. The service was pretty good. The food was very good. Need to verify over the phone if duck or any other barbecue owns are available.

I hate giving 1 star reviews and I hate rating businesses poorly but this is a business that needs to change their practices. ----Customers be aware --One of the restaurants that can RUIN your experience with dining out or vacationing as there is -- A minimum of 18% tips for service.Similar to other low and recent reviews, the waitress looks at your tips before you leave and then states you need to tip a minimum a certain percentage. It's basically like a small confrontation, like "I see you didn't tip this percent" *points*Our party of 3 tipped 14% and honestly, for an Asian restaurant that forgets to give you rice until your last 4th dish arrives, how do you not know? We tip generously and can tip less than 20% and we dine out often and never gotten confronted. Instead of asking "what went wrong, why is it so "low"" she felt entitled to the tip.Judging from recent reviews-- where a party even said they would cite credit fraud and file a police report for forcing them to pay higher tips, they still continue this practice of confronting and extorting customers! If you want your workers to have higher tips, pay a livable wage, raise your prices-- see what customers you can retain and attract just by your establishment/services alone. You can also be explicit about it by posting a mandatory service fee charged on top to all parties.Obviously because she probably noticed we were traveling, she had no reason to keep us as customers, but people should be aware-- 18% tip is the minimum. --Portions- smallerSpeed of food- fastService- subpar Parking- street or lot but lot was full during the time we went

Very nice birthday lunch here. No waiting, delicious food, good service. You wouldn't know from looking on the outside, but these folks make really good Chinese food!

Came here for a lunch meeting. Everything was so delicious. From the fried rice, to the green beans, steamed fish, and lobster. Really the best Chinese food I have ever had!

Well thanks to Peter Y. and Paul C. Fellow Yelpers both post about this restaurant. You can enter from Kapiolani Blvd side or Makaloa side which there's the parking lot We wanted to order half order of Peking duck but our waitress said that the cooks didn't cook any yet The service was pretty fast once you order they kept coming around to re-fill your water and tea. Inside the restaurant is clean and in the the back there's restrooms. Looks like in the evening time it becomes a karaoke bar , The food taste ok and their prices are little on the higher side . Other than I would be back in the future
