Just ate here. Food is very mediocre, drinks are terrible and sweet, blue hawaiian is not even that drink and they demanded a gratitude - audacity I would say. Very pricey for bad quality food. Would not go back.
Food Quality very poor.
Chicken wings were bloody on the inside. We sent them back and they told us they were supposed to be like that so gave them back to us. We didn’t eat them as we didn’t want food poisoning on holiday, and still had to pay for them. A normal restaurant would’ve apologized and cook some new wings. I wouldn’t recommend going there to eat. Also the crabs were all piled on top of each other in a tiny tank, very sad.
I have hosted two graduation dinner parties here. Ming, the manager, is always so helpful and communicative from start to finish. The staff was on point and kept water and food flowing. I have recommended a friend have his retirement dinner here is well. Food is always delicious!
They have private rooms for any occasion. I didn’t give 5 stars for atmosphere because some of the decor was worn. I still highly recommend them!
Great food and service
Food ok, not great. Service ok, not great. Cleanliness ok, not great. Expensive for what it is.
We came here 2 times in just 5 days!
That says it all — the food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented every single time. The staff is friendly, attentive, and the service is consistently excellent. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, making it perfect for family meals during our vacation.
We truly enjoyed every visit and will definitely recommend this place to our friends. Looking forward to coming back!
We just loved the place. Good food. The duck amazing 😻
Kirin’s Seafood – 3 Stars
Let’s start with the obvious: it’s pricey. My solo lunch ended up totaling around $180 with gratuity, which felt steep—especially for a midday bite. That said, if you’re coming here, the Dungeness crab is a must. They only had larger sizes available when I visited (about 3 lbs), which ran me $107, but the crab was fresh, flavorful, and definitely a highlight.
I also tried the spring rolls—crispy, hot, and well-fried, but not exactly unforgettable. The seafood fried rice was solid, but I really wish they offered half portions. As a solo diner, it felt wasteful to leave so much behind when the dish only came in one large size.
The atmosphere is old-school and authentic. You can tell it’s a local staple from the steady flow of guests. However, the vibe didn’t quite match the price point. Service was polite but impersonal, with a shared approach among staff that kept things moving, though it lacked a personal touch.
All in all, I’m glad I tried it. The crab was worth the splurge, but I wouldn’t rank this among my top 10 spots. I could see it being a fun spot to visit with friends when you’re craving crab—but for me, it’s a been-there-done-that type of stop.

We were a little disappointed.
We asked that the food come out appetisers and then entrees ( we actually ordered and wanted three different servings) and they sent everything out at once. We wanted to get our appetisers 1st, followed by an order of roasted duck (for the table) followed by our entrees. There were four us and we were really looking forward to enjoying a variety of Chinese food.
We wanted an order of white rice and an order of fried rice they only sent only fried rice then proceeded to tell us that we didn’t need white rice cause we got fried rice.
Now, it wasn’t a busy night at all for them, but it was pretty obvious that they were more interested in turning the table than what and how they served us. There are way too many restaurants in Honolulu to have to put up with this kind of service.
The food was ok. I would not recommend this restaurant.
