I have heard the crab here is excellent so if that is what you want, don’t let my review deter you. BUT for an American wanting to have an authentic but accessible and fresh Chinese meal, the lack of menu updates in 30 years should have been a good clue. The owner badly wanted a good review, offering her card and on call service so they do not lose their restaurant and their jobs, but all they really need is a fresh take on the classics starting with new carpet and a fresh look...
This place is amazing. We had Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Chicken and Vegetable fried rice. It was all cooked to perfection. The portions were perfect for two people. The staff was amazing. Very very attentive to our table and tables around us. We didn’t have reservations but were seated immediately. This is one of the best meals we had in Honolulu. I had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant after moving to Hawaii, so I finally decided to go in and try it out. I’m actually at a loss of words. The food was fantastic. We ordered the Hawaii Garlic shrimp, crab and corn soup, Honey Walnut Shrimp, stir fry chicken with seasonal vegetables, and shrimp fried rice. Everything was top notch, flavorful and juicy.
