Best pizza on the island! Focaccia sandwiches are amazing as well. Chef owner is dedicated and very responsive. Support local business! Convenient location a block from Nimitz in a former custom glass company. You can admire the beautiful stained glass windows while you're there.

Amazing food. Loved the cheeseburger pizza and all of the other wacky combos. Great owner too. Shreds guitar. He says he's planning to make the place Zelda themed. 10 out of 10.

Went here for their Yelp Elite event and got a free slice of pizza. I chose the sausage pizza. It wasn't bad but nothing special. They are located in a former auto glass repair shop in Kalihi. Parking is super duper tough to find. Interior is a bit quirky but has a lot of character.

Totally awesome pies. I love the olive oil infusion into the crust, the great toppings, and friendly people. The owner can shred guitar as well.

Opened on 2/1/23 in Kalihi by co-owners Jason Nomura and Sydney, and you may know Jason as the "J" in the former J&B Pizza at Manoa Marketplace, and Sydney who also used to work there. (J&B closed in Oct. 2022 due to construction at Manoa Marketplace and the seeking of available space elsewhere.) This business was named after Kirk, a close friend who had passed away.Kirk's Pizza offers New York style thin crust pizza with a varied choice of toppings and unique specialties, with veggies that are locally sourced. They make pizza "the way you like it." You can get them whole or slices, and bottled/canned drinks are available. They also offer calzones and strombolis that are stuffed with pizza sauce, cheese, meats, and toppings. Breakfast items are being planned to be offered in the future.Their pizza toppings and specialties, with the flavors changing weekly, include:* Meatball Parmesean* Chicken Garlic Ranch* Chicken Bacon Ranch* Chicken BBQ* Greek* Italian Combo* Meat Lovers* "The Sidney"* Spicy Italian* "Spigaro"* Spinach ricotta* Caprese* Cheeseburger * Cheese* Pepperoni* White* Vegetarian* Special, e.g., pesto, spinach, mushroom, salami, tomato with balsamic drizzle* Build your ownI ordered the following, and while Sydney offered to heat them up, I requested them as is, as I was taking them home to be reheated in an air fryer:* Special. The thin, crispy crust had toppings of pesto, ricotta cheese, chicken, tomato, mushrooms, and Kalamata olives, with a Balsamic drizzle. Perfect combination of toppings that complemented each well. Loved the melting ricotta cheese, the tartness of the olives, and the crispiness of the thin crust. Very flavorful and delicious!* Chicken Bacon Ranch. This had toppings of a ranch base, spinach, chicken, bacon, sliced tomato, and ranch drizzle. One of their popular flavors of robust ranch, chicken and bacon, nicely complemented by spinach and sliced tomatoes. Another delicious and tasty pizza!Staff included Jason and Sydney, who were super friendly and very knowledgeable about their pizzas. Sydney took care the front end, taking orders and payment; and Jason was in the back kitchen, making the fresh dough for the crust, baking the pizzas at 550 deg, and bringing out your order in a box. They have an efficient process in place!Located in a blue building at the corner of Homerule and Puuhale Streets near McDonalds, the front entrance is the double door glass panels on Homerule St. The building formerly housed Amco Glass Tinting, as its name is still etched in glass above the front door. The interior has a beautiful ambiance of beautiful glass tinting panels with stained glass designs and glass etching embedded in the walls and ceiling. There is a glass showcase of collectible photos and items and a nearby shelf of board games. There is a stairway that leads to a second floor that is used by staff. Cute pizza flags are hung from wall to wall. Couches and chairs were recently placed for those wishing to dine in.Hours of operation are 11a to 2p Tues to Sat, 5p to 9p Thurs to Sat, and Sun/Mon closed. Credit cards accepted, however, a 4% discount is given your order is paid by cash. Street parking only, which may be difficult to find, as this is an industrial area; spaces should free up in the evenings. I had my hubby drop me off and pick me up after I was done, as there was no nearby parking available during the lunch hours. It's interesting that a pizza restaurant is located in this Kalihi industrial area, and I'm sure it's a great option for those who work in the area. While I would have never venture out to this area looking for pizza, it's good to know that pizza is available if I'm in the area, and in a building with beautiful décor of stained and etched glass art. As parking is hard to find, have someone be with you so that you can grab your pizza while the driver waits for you. I look forward to trying their other pizza flavors! Much success to Jason and Sydney on their new venture as Kirk's Pizza, and Kirk is

Well, it is pizza. If I am not mistaken, this is the same folks from pizza at Manoa Marketplace. If you liked that pizza this is the same. I did not like that pizza, so I didn't care that much for this one. With all of the other options in Honolulu right now, Dolans or Mamo, why would you eat (what seems to me to be) frozen dough, fake cheese, processed meats? I have no proof of this other than taste and texture, but it sure seems to me to be pizza made with components from the sale aisle of the food wholesaler (Y. Hata). You know, where the cheese comes out of a bag with a label that says "Genuine Pizza Cheese Food Product". Wait, is that cheese or a product?Yes, I am picky about pizza. I don't care about your ambiance if you make a great pizza. I've eaten great pizza from trucks, ex car repair shops, etc. I love a good calzone. Got cannoli (not from Whole Foods, thank you) at the holidays? Good for you. Can't speak to service as my wife went in. I waited in the car because the parking was so sketchy. I can get better pizza from the frozen food aisle.

Synopsis:Delicious pizza at a very reasonable price Easy to locateNear zero parkingBeautiful blue building is easy to spot on the corner but good luck finding parking! It took a small amount of investigation to find the front entrance due to lack of signs but they are still establishing their business and setting up shop so it's to be expected. They are working on setting up a dine in area so that will be nice if you can find parking. Very very friend staff. I immediately felt welcomed. Slices are on the smaller side but appropriately priced. If you pay cash, you get a slight discount as there is no credit card fee. They will warm the slice back up in the oven for you so don't worry if it looks a bit chilled in the showcase. Crust is light and chewy, toppings were perfectly portioned and seasoned. Delicious! Exactly what I was hoping for in a new York style joint. As I shoveled a slice into my mouth while driving away...i felt immense regret that I didn't purchase more! This will be a regular stop IF I have someone else in the car that can drive laps around the block while I hop in for a few slices. Food and staff alone, this place gets a solid 5. However, I have to dock a star due to the amount of energy and time it took to find somewhere to pull over long enough to run into the shop. At least they are available on UberEATS! Rumor has it, door dash will be added to the list. YAYCheers

I first came to Kirk's Pizza for a Yelp Elite Event. I was happy to find out that this is the pizza from the former J&B Pizza that was in Manoa Marketplace. I missed that yummy pizza. Now it's back!Fast and friendly service in a great shop. Totally relaxed atmosphere in an industrial area.Cheese PizzaThis classic is always good. Especially from Kirk's Pizza!Chicken Bacon Ranch/CheeseburgerReally great flavors on a crispy crust on the outside and chewy on the inside.Pro Tip: call ahead and pick up your order or if you go with someone, have them wait in the car as you go in. I was able to run in and pick up the pizza without any issue. Parking is scarce.Awesome pizza. Worth the parking challenge

This business is located in a sky blue building. It's the only blue building in the area, so you can't miss it. They don't have parking and it was a bit of a challenge to find street parking. Your best bet is to have someone drive while you run in and pick up the pizza. They sell the pie whole or you can buy per slice. The day that I was there, they had eight different types to choose from. I purchased the chicken, bacon and ranch. It was delicious, but the crust is thin. You probably won't get full just eating one slice. Besides pizza, they also sell Calzones and Strombolis. It'll also cost you less if you pay in cash. They charge a credit card fee which many places do these days.

Kirk's Pizza is like a knead to know place...Located at the industrial area of Kalihi on the corner of Puuhale and Homerule you know you're there when you see the "Pizza" feather shaped flag banner sign waving you down. The bright blue building itself is the true give away resembling a former garage with the visible service station look overhead garage doors does make you question the accuracy of what you're searching for.Entrance is on Homerule Street and for this massive building the service area is quite small with a counter cluttered with various items and pizza display you'd think pizza wasn't the main business with a basket of Easter eggs for sale (for $3/$5 inside is a coupon for deals, of course not noted) some plants, Windex bottle and dirty rag, and random condiments some are obvious a few should be labeled as he warned me about one...then it should be noted!Instead of all that nonsense clutter I wished they had a sign mentioning what kind of pizza they had and the prices of each item and especially for some like the specialty slices it would be great to know what's in it.I did come in partially at the end of the day so the slices looked pretty sad and still selling them at full prices $4-$4.50 is a choice I decided to make since I made it this way with basically park at your risk area so it's dashing from McD's or some illegal quick dash which is recommended since it's currently take out only. The whole ambiance, system and especially parking is something needs work really bad I couldn't tell you what other pizzas they had as reciting by memory doesn't work for me but I did get the Greek Pizza packed in a simple box which I ate immediately as a quick 10-15 seconds warm up was barely warm...what's in it going only by visual (pesto sauce loaded with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, artichokes, feta)...average sized slice. They need to line the box as the oil instantly leaked through, pizza itself was really good and is the first Greek Pizza I've ever have, will be back earlier next time to give them another try...I do wish them a slice day ;-)Thank you!

With a grand opening on Pi Day 2023, Kirk's Pizza is half (Jason) of the former J&B Pizzeria in Manoa. Now located in Kalihi, it's easy to get to and find but difficult to find parking. They're more geared toward delivery or takeout; there's plenty of places to leave the car for a couple minutes to get your food to take home. Jason and the person on the phone were both very friendly and excited to be in business. It's located in what looks like an old shop, very open with pizza ovens in the back, counter as you walk in, and a long table area with games to the right. They do have room for dine in, but not many tables so it'd be a good idea to call before counting on a table. They have a selection of bottled and canned drinks inside as well. The pizza menu is pretty typical for a pizzeria, they have the classic ingredients for build-you-own, plus specials. The opening special was a cheeseburger pizza - ketchup & mustard base, cheese, pickles, and beef. It was unique, a little on the sweet side. We also got a plain cheese pizza. Both were well done. The only critique, the cheese used was very greasy which caused the center of the pie to be soggy and was also mouthcoating. The dough was also tough, maybe was not given enough time to rise before use - a lot of the crust was too hard to eat, which is usually my favorite part. One favorite part was the cornmeal on the bottom - a nice touch I wish more pizzerias used. As part of the opening promotion, a premium pizza is $20, or with any $30 you get free cinnamon rolls. They were sweet and with lots of cinnamon, but again were too tough to enjoy. I think with the history, positivity, and a little time to develop the pizzas themselves, this place could be great. It's worth a try to support a new local business.

Pizza on Pi Day in Kalihi, Honolulu, Hawaii...I heard about this relatively new pizza place from my friend, Donna O. I read reviews about the challenging parking situation, so, Peter Y. and I carpooled. When we got to Kirk's Pizza, I ran inside and asked where we could park. Answer: on the street. Do not park in the lot for the apartment building next door.Inside, Kirk's Pizza is amazing! I really liked the stained glass, etched glass, pizza garland, and the tablecloth on which you can practice your artistic skills! (Sharpie pens are available.) I also liked the air conditioning, the clean, bright environment, cute decor (live plant, memorabilia, maneki neko, etc.), and dining-in option (long table and four chairs).Service was excellent! The male and female staff were so nice to each customer! They were friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and conversational!Food was delicious! I had a slice of the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza - the combination of flavors was genius! The crust was thin and not mushy! Yay! I would like to return and try the other pizza creations! The price was very reasonable - I believe it was less than $10 for two slices and a can of diet Pepsi! Thanks to Peter Y. for lunch, the ride, and a fun foodie adventure!

If you are a pizza aficionado and have been wondering what happened to J & B Pizza in the Manoa Marketplace - well, they ( at least the J in J & B) are now Kirk's Pizza on 2030 Homerule St in Kalihi. Near the McD's, driving the side streets are a hassle...finding parking is a hassle. But...for the pizza. They still offer NY style slices, thin and crispy without too much red sauce or cheese. They still offer slices...from Vegetarian to Pepperoni. And they still offer calzones.Located in, what was a glass tinting business, there are renovations to be made to include indoor seating. The exterior is painted a bright blue...so you can't miss it on the corner.Ordered two slices and a calzone - yes, I was hungry. The Greek was like the Vegetarian...which is to say, vegetarian. The main difference being the artichokes and feta. Both were excellent. Calzone had Marinara sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, meatballs, and pepperoni. You have the option to choose from the menu board and I chose well...it was excellent. So, despite the crowded side streets and difficulty with parking...worth itCall ahead tho...I should have called but I didn't mind getting a good look inside. Some of the glass designs were...uh, well let's just say the office door glass windows had 2 frogs on them. They are open from 1100 to 1400; and during their soft opening are only taking cash. You can build your own pizza from the menu board.
