Fantastic! Mostly locals, excellent macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup. The eggs Benedict was really good, we asked for bacon and hash browns extra crispy and that's just how they arrived. The staff was super friendly and warm despite all our special requests...and the prices were very reasonable. They do serve food on paper plates with plastic forks, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the meal thoroughly. My husband got the mahi mahi plate and he enjoyed that as well

"You get for what you pay" is an applicable statement. Nothing special or terrible about this place. I got the Koa burrito for $7.5 and it came with a small dollop of sour cream and enough salsa for three bites. I used ketchup for the rest of my burrito, which is fine, but I wouldn't expect anything spectacular. There are two paid parking lots near the area, so that's convenient!

Came on a Sunday at 10am and most tables were taken. Ordered their corned beef hash loco moco and it's my favorite item on their menu. Grandma got their eggs and breakfast meats. Daughter got their strawberry pancakes. Both were winners. Several free parking stalls available at their store front, otherwise you need to walk-in from the crowded lot or from the Koko Head Ave. neighborhood. Fair prices. Order at the counter and they bring your food out to the table. Nothing extra special, but a good value if you're craving a quick breakfast.

I'm giving this place 5* based on its value and the fact that if you want fast breakfast food with no reservation or wait time on a weekend, this is one of the few options. Is it fancy? No. Is it highly innovative and instagram worthy food? No. But it is a step above fast food, yet is generally a better value. You can get full here for $11 - $13. If you want some unique options like mochi waffles, they have it and it is affordable. I like how you can get many options for your side with omelets: rice, country potatoes, pancakes, or hashbrowns There's really not many places like this still open. This place has a unique niche and with inflation the way it is, kudos to the owners for keeping prices down. What I don't like is card only where you feel compelled to leave a tip when you insert your card. They bring the food to your table so really the only options should be: 0%; 5%; 10% The cashier lady was friendly until she looked at my receipt and saw I didn't tip.

We came on a Monday and got 10% off for military Mondays. This location is a decent size, but it's hard to find parking. All the stalls are metered if you can find one. I couldn't decide between getting one of their egg benedicts or the guava mochi waffles. I decided on the guava mochi waffles $9.95 and a side of hash browns. It's a new item that I'd seen on the ads, but didn't get a price. The guava mochi waffle was meh. It was doughy and wasn't chewy at all. I should have gotten one of the benny's. I ate half of the guava mochi waffle and took home the rest for the next day. It was actually better the next day after I stuck it in the microwave. It was more of the chewy consistency. The hash brown was good and crispy.

Came to Koa Pancake in Kaimuki for the pancakes on a friend's recommendation. Was pleasantly surprised to also have some of the best grilled mahi mahi as well. Ordered the breakfast plate with Mahi Mahi as my "meat", two eggs over easy and macadamia nut pancakes. Total was $20.37 including a large OJ. Staff was quite friendly and helpful You order at the counter and they give you a number to put on your table. In less than five minutes they brought me the freshly prepared food. All tasted great. Pancakes were light and fluffy and moist (a challenge with the nuts). Eggs were soft and runny. And the Mahi Mahi was fantastic. Highly recommend stopping here.

The pancakes were pretty good, especially for the price. The other dishes are pretty good too, and the prices are reasonable for today's inflationary standards. The only thing we don't like in particular are the waffles, although maybe it's just us, because we saw lots of people ordering it. I believe they only take credit cards. The only thing I didn't like was the noise. It gets pretty noisey, and all the noise reflects and for people who are sensitive to noise, it could be a bit jarring. Overall, I would come back again because the pros outweigh the cons.Parking: There's plenty of parking nearby, and the rate is reasonable - I think about 75 cents per hour.
