This place is SO good! We got the Don buri chen, Miso smoked pork omelette, AND the cornflake French toast which we had "meh" hopes for but my goodness order it!?We ate so much yet didn't feel disgustingly full. The food is great and worth the price! Which isn't that crazy compared to other places here on the island.Service was also friendly and attentive.

THE best brunch we’ve ever had in the US, and we travel a lot! The food was absolutely delicious and the service (especially from Emmanuel/Emi who served us) was exceptional, professional, super friendly, efficient and even gave us some touring tips around the island!

Must try this place at least once, try it the first day of your visit so you have time to go back! If they have the Vanilla sea salt biscuit, order one, thank me later! Also the "best hashbrown ever" is no joke. We shared the Koko moco which was also delicious! Five star food and A++ service!! We will be back day one of our next trip to Oahu.

So we hit up this place on a Sunday afternoon. The crew is very welcoming as soon as you arrive. I ordered a fruit plate that has various tropical fruits and it was delicious (a little small).I also ordered the miso omlette and asked for hot sauce. They forgot about us and apologized, eventually bringing various, tasty hot sauces. She was likely overwhelmed. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience with decent food options.

Came in expecting more or less the usual diner-esque breakfast menu and our expectations were absolutely blown away. So many amazing unique offerings and new twists on old favorites. Emmy was an absolute professional and walked us through the whole menu, making us feel like family. I will be recommending this place to anyone who will listen and will absolutely be coming back because there is so much left on the menu we didn’t get a chance to try!

Service was great, food was okay, not worth the price. The French toast while okay, was definitely not worth the hype. The bibimbap was a solid meal. They were out of the vanilla biscuits and mulberry hot tea when we went on a weekend.

Ugh. This is THE PLACE that made me fall in love with loco mocos! I wasn't the biggest fan of the loco moco in general as I always thought that they lacked flavor, but Koko Head Cafe *chefs kiss* you've created a Koko Moco monster haha. Every time I'm there, I just can't bring myself to order anything else. Luckily, I usually eat with others and have an opportunity to try other dishes, but to my tastebuds, nothing else compares to the Koko Moco. Like seriously, you've got me feeling like Plankton, wanting the secret recipe. The patty is perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked to a medium-rare temp (most places tend to overcook theirs, so I truly appreciate that the servers here always make a point to suggest trying it at that temperature, for those who are first timers). The mushroom gravy is full of umami, and the crispy bed of rice adds a nice crunch to every bite. The deep fried kimchi is such a nice complement to the entire dish, offering a bit of acidity. And the beautiful sunny side up egg to top it all off! One day... I'll order something different. Oh! But I do always try their yummy dessert specials... they've all been absolutely delicious. My favorite so far has to be the ube cream cheese roll--when will it be rotated back in?? Lol. Whenever family and friends come to visit, Koko Head Cafe is always the first restaurant that to mind when they ask for breakfast or brunch recommendations.

Brunch after our hike at Diamond Head. We put our names on the Yelp waitlist and we still had to wait about 10 mins after we arrived. They are quite busy everyday! Their menu is pretty extensive and the waiter explained many items for us. He also told us the story of the head chef who was a contestant on Top Chef. The 2 of us shared: Cornflake French toast - I wish this had a half order option. But it was a bit too sweet and thick. It had bacon and ice cream on top, so it was a meal itself. I ordered a side of portuguese sausage as I missed the part of the included bacon. But I much prefer the Portuguese sausage over the over cooked bacon. Ohayou Eggs - this was quite delicious! Especially when you also order the hash brown and eat it together. The eggs were savory with parmesan, mushroom, ham, cream sauce and various cheese. I would come back and order these 2 items again. There were many menu items that looked interesting as well, I would suggest coming back with friends to share even more entree choices!

My husband and I were looking for a good breakfast place to try and Koko head was recommended by a local. We thought to give it a try. The service was awesome. Our server gave us recommendations on his favorite dishes. Everything we ordered was so delicious. The cornflake French toast was out of this world!!

If you're dining in on the weekends, be sure to add yourself to the Yelp Waitlist before you head out. Actually, go ahead and add yourself before getting ready because the wait list is bound to be at least an hour long, if not more. They currently have outdoor seating along with the indoor. But quick tip: they don't serve alcohol in the outdoor seating area so if you're planning to drink, be sure to select indoor seating when jumping on the waitlist! I've been to Koko Head Cafe once before when they first opened in their original location. They are now right around the corner at a bigger location. And I've been wanting to try it out again since it's been a while. We tried: - Coffee Plus - the whiskey and Kahlua were overpowering the coffee and was stronger than preferred for brunch - Strawberry Guava Soda - tasted like a shrub so slightly vinegary. Not bad but not as expected - Cornflake French Toast - okay but overly sweet and majorly overpriced - Koko Moco - the gravy was good and the egg was nice. However I ordered it was a medium patty, and was given one that was very well done. Although I love crispy skillet rice, I don't think it goes very well with loco moco. - Chicky & Eggs - I wasn't a fan of the maple Tabasco (overly sweet) so I'm glad that was on the side. The French style scrambled eggs were nice, light and fluffy. The service was just okay. Everyone was nice but they weren't the most attentive and a bit disorganized. We had multiple servers come over trying to give us food we hadn't ordered haha. The service was quick though which is always appreciated. Overall I'm glad I tried it again, as I don't remember much from my initial visit years ago (guess that should have been a sign). Not bad but there are a number of brunch spots I prefer over Koko Head Cafe.
