Beer was great. Other drinks (wine & rum) were not good. Both way too sweet. I asked which rums they had and they said a couple like Bacardi and then “and our rum - we have white, dark, and spiced”. They never mentioned their white rum is super sweet and coconut flavored which would be an important note. Disgusting. The fish tacos left us all feeling bloated. The flour tortillas were not taco-like at all. The shishito peppers were not done well. Not charred at all and way too big and oily so inedible. The ambiance was nice and the service was fine. They close at 9 and were telling people at around 8:30 that it was last call for the kitchen. I guess that's normal but I felt rushed.

How can you have a restaurant that serves $25 hamburgers, with NO FRECH FRIES ON THE MENU? WHO wants white rice with a burger? Oh and the chips the give you? Maybe Lays, but likely an off brand from Aldi's. I got chips and salsa on a Saturday dinner trip, and they were stale! No pride in their food. Beer obviously was good; the food? No bueno. Skip it. Oh and this is owned by a $59.77 billion dollar corporation.

It was just ok. Too many options to consider for an OK experience. I wouldn't NOT go back if someone suggested it, but I can't imagine ever suggesting it.

I’ve tried a few Kona beers but never really been impressed with the taste. However, I would only ever stick to the beer, it’s the only good thing on the menu because the food is terrible and extremely overpriced.
The menu is very small, only four to five items per category. They do not serve french fries. Ingredients are typical foodservice frozen or prepared-portioned items or burger patties. There is nothing special about the food or flavor to warrant the price of $20+ per entree.
Servers congregate around the kitchen line and are inattentive. Maybe there were too many of them and not enough customers because the place was dead on a Tuesday afternoon at 1pm.
I’m not sure if the rating is old or it’s just a hangout for regulars because there’s no way this is a 4.5 star establishment.
The view isn’t worth it either. Staring at a bunch of janky boats and a dilapidated building in the marina isn’t good ambiance.

Visited Kona Brewing Company for a beer tasting using my Go City Oahu pass. One pass included a flight of four small beers, supposedly valued at $15 — maybe! I asked the waitress to surprise me with the selection, which was a fun touch. I ordered the fresh fish sandwich, and my friend got a salad. The fish sandwich was more like a fish burger, but it was tasty either way. Just a heads-up: adding a side will cost you an extra $2 to $4.

Great staff, but they were closing early on Saturday night and running out of beers…why?
