Got there at 640, paid at 750...crazy wait, but the pastries are really good. Line gets better around noon

Took home their freshly roasted beefs in store as souvenir and didn’t regret it!

Not worth the hype. We waited 30 mins at around 2pm and got an iced latte. The coffee had bitter and burnt notes for what is supposed to be smooth.

Came specifically for the 100% Kona. Rare to see it clearly labeled and offered as drip.
Long lines from early morning through mid-afternoon. Beans are over $50 per bag, but expected for real Kona. I ordered both a latte and a drip using the same beans.
Online reviews rave about the pastries, but I didn’t get a chance to try them. The coffee itself was not particularly memorable.
Very busy and hectic, yet the staff remained efficient.

Even though lien was long, the drinks come out quickly! Go early if you want to try the pastries. We nab ed the last 3 kouign-amans at like an hour before closing.

Not sure if I’d wait in line for this place but if you manage to get in under 20min, I highly recommend any of their kouign amann pastries. I think the San Francisco b. Patisserie is better though, but this place has more fun flavours. I’m not much of a coffee person but my husband thought it was alright.

Is this some kind of hidden-camera prank? I honestly don’t understand why the line is so long. I assume most people are tourists who want to experience Kona coffee for the first time.
Unfortunately, the coffee itself was terrible. I ordered a latte, and the milk and coffee tasted completely disconnected. The coffee had no aroma, no depth, and wasn’t enjoyable at all. I noticed many people ordering iced drinks, and that actually made sense, once the latte cooled down, the water and milk blended better, making it slightly more tolerable. Honestly, I’d recommend going to Starbucks instead: no long lines, cheaper prices, and better coffee.
I do agree with many reviews saying the pastries are good. However, as a solo customer, spending $25 on just coffee and bread, and then being expected to tip, is not something I’d do again. Both the cashier and the barista seemed extremely busy and not particularly friendly. Given the level of service, I regret leaving a tip.

I feel like this place is one of the ones you try once just to say you went there. The coffee was a bit pricey for it to just be okay. I will say though, the pastries they have are super good!

December 2025 Been revisiting this place often and is arguably the best place to purchase beans but definitely one of the most crowded and not relaxing places to enjoy your coffee. Skip the line by ordering specialty coffee but the price point is a bit high.

Very busy Cafe! The pastries and toasts looked exceptional. They were making fresh avocado toasts to order. The coffee was great quality as well. Not the biggest sitting area especially with lines out the door. I had the cold brew kona and it was strong. The banana and chocolate croissant was amazing and so was the pineapple coconut.

There is a long line outside the cafe all the time. Coffee and pastries are good. We went there and tried as the line was not long (10+) at the time of our visit. but it is not to the level that worth waiting in a line of more than 50 people as we saw the other day morning.

Everything about this coffee shop is delish, customer svc varies and after coming here for a week, it’s definitely a Monday thing.
I came here like twice a day for the time i was in Hawaii. Every other encounter was lovely.
But there’s a taller lady with medium length hair who was just rude during my last visit. She was helping at the counter with espresso purchases around 9. I asked for a substitution and she was condescending about it :(
Substitutions, anything about this place , isn’t free so what’s up with the attitude ?
I didn’t come at her sideways, why would I do that at my fave coffee shops, she just doesn’t wanna be here, and it shows.
And her tone was rude. anyways I’m just a girl trying to get some of the best coffee in town and i get greeted by this lady who clearly doesn’t wanna be there. Very negative energy that’s not needed for a busy and delish place like this.
