A pretty decent spot within walking distance from the Ala Moana area. We went during an off meal hour, and therefore we were the only table. The restaurant is not too large. Ban chan accompanies all entrees. We tried the sashimi platter as well as the poke/kalbi combo. The kalbi was surprisingly, very delicious and tender. The sashimi slices were generous though the tuna had a slight fishiness to it, though the other two types of fish were fine.

old fashioned, delicious, fresh food. i am so grateful we were able to try this food during our trip to oahu, the staff was kind and the atmosphere was very warm. it was heartwarming to see the staff interacting with their regulars you can tell they truly care about their people! this place is a MUST visit.

Wonderful experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, good service, and the atmosphere of an establishment well beloved by the community. If I didn't have more places to try, I'd eat there every day.
