This is my #1 chicken Katsu on the island, I've tried probably 4-5 L&L's on the island and this takes the cake. I grew up with this L&L and the taste is always Katsu has just the perfect amount of breading and crisp. Also prepare time for the food is fast! Food is also made fast, usually 5 min for my reg Katsu plate, mac salad is also so yummy.

Crowded but really good food, lots of food on a plate. You won’t leave hungry. Go around peak mealtime to avoid the crowd.Parking: It’s the same parking lot as Costco but on the far side. Lots of parking during the week. Weekends might be different.
I just got fish and shrimp. Fish was OK, shrimp was way overcooked like dehydrated Jerky, second time this happened, so that's why I decided to comment. I could have had a plate with fish, shrimp, chicken or beef with sides for the Same price I paid for the fish and shrimp alone.

Chicken katsu always taste clean and good here. The only down side is when you order a pan of katsu now i it seems they have cut the portion. It used to be packed now the foil sits flat on the top. It's just a little disappointing. But taste good

This review is it gonna be that long because it was a quick trip but this is just a basic L&L barbecue spot. Taste just like all the L&L's with the same menu. Can't go wrong here with a basic plate lunch! I got a mini Loco moco for breakfast it is a bit heavy I was ready to sleep and I JUST woke up! Lol The gravy is thick, light brown taste garlicky. Patty taste pre-frozen and pre-made. It's flat with some salt to it. Their mac salad is really good. Classic. Parking gets busy here because of the business at this shopping area. If you're lucky you might find some in front. This location is CASH ONLY!!!!

I went to L&L today and I am very disappointed with the food I paid for. The French fries were half burnt and the teriyaki beef on my plate was burnt and very hard. It was difficult to eat I had to throw it away. This L&L is the one by Costco in Iwilei.

I was greeted with a smile by a very friendly cashier. The menu is filled with a variety of food choices at a reasonable price. The food was served cooked and in a timely manner and did I mention so Ono!!(delicious in hawaiian) The portions was very generous leaving me left over food to take home for later.

While visiting Honolulu I ordered the prime rib and shrimp x2. The shrimp still had the skin on it and when peeling the shrimp all the breading was lost. The biggest disappointment was the “prime rib.” We received several thin slices of beef, overcooked and so tough no one could chew it. To top off this meal the macaroni salad was warm, yuck. The $5 bento box purchased from a street vendor was far superior to this $50 meal. My advice, go somewhere else.
