Cute little L&L BBQ. I was hungry and wanted local style cheese burger with onion and a Teri beef sandwich with lettuce. With fries anf and a drink. McD’s is right across the parking lot. It’s an easy FF stop but L&L had specifics that McD’s can’t meet. I was Ono for Teri Steak sandwich which true locals know as Teribeef burgah and I desired Krinklecut fries and both came out piping HOT! I actually felt a little spoiled getting all my opu (tummy) desired plus I got one cheeseburger with onions. Dinner was everything. Next time I might try the shrimp sandwich?

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My experience was nothing short of appalling. The sanitary conditions were shocking. Food that had fallen on the ground was picked up and repackaged for other customers. It's hard to believe anyone would think that's acceptable.
The meal itself was a disaster. It tasted like it had been cooked days ago and then forgotten due to the sourness of the meat.
Save your money, this establishment should be avoided at all costs!!!

This review is long overdue. If our family is ever in the mood for generous portions of our favorite comfort foods, at a very reasonable price, our Hawaii Kai L&L is our 'Go To' place. We've been going to them for years, and I'm still always amazed at how even their mini takeout packages are literally packed with our selections (and I'm not talking about the rice; I'm talking about the entree). If you've ever been there, you might be wondering why I even gave them 5 stars for atmosphere, when it's not all that unique or special. It's because the tables, seats and floors are always clean, there are no unpleasant odors, and they're right on the marina. As for service, they're always accommodating of my requests to substitute green salad for rice, even though I'm violating my low carb diet with a scoop of their delicious mac salad. They're always pleasant and polite. The food is always ready when we arrive for our takeout orders, and utensils and napkins are always present in the bag. Best of all, we each have our favorite entrees, and they're consistently prepared in the same delicious manner. I hope they'll never leave Hawaii Kai, as I don't know what our family would do.
