We have to fight back against these corporations. Food was ok, while being insanely overpriced, but at this point I know what to expect at a US airport. However, to have only one employee doing the entire front counter is a disgrace. Greed is the only thing these corporations understand. For what this place charges for rotisserie chicken, $26 after tax for 1/2 rotisserie chicken and some nasty sides, they can have two employees. Check out some of the pictures, the lines are long because this company is greedy and won’t pay for a second employee. We have to be better as a society. Travel in the US is awful because every damn corporation is ripping us off and giving us the worst service in the world. The employees of Lahaina Chicken Company deserve better, especially for the mediocre pay they get.

Tried to order the special, choice of two proteins with three sides. Asked for a fried chicken and a grilled piece, was told I couldn't choose that one of the proteins had to be pork. We pointed out the sign and they just wanted to argue with us. We don't eat pork, so had to find somewhere else to eat.

The pushy older man insisted it’s a flat fee meal. No matter if I did nt want the 3 sides or the meat. He said I’d still pay full price. Yet there is a menu with a variety of prices. He’s pushy. I can’t eat all the options but had he slowed down: I would have ordered what I needed.

I won’t refer family here.

Many other choices where you don’t pay a flat fee.
Ordering should be for the fun of choices. When you are TOLD what to get: I don’t recommend this place.

My go to place for roast pork and mash potatoes with gravy. Choice of mix veg, corn or peas and carrots. Roast pork is crispy on the outside and moist inside. They have 3 sizes portions, I usually have the smallest. I took a picture too late, it was so good!

Gluten-free options are slim in this airport and with it being the holiday, seemed a lot of places were closed. Arrived here 10 mins before bfore closing and despite the chaotic atmosphere, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I ordered the half roast chicken (mixed dark and white meat) with a side salad. I skipped the vegetables, as the mashed potatoes appeared to be mixed into the green beans. While I had low expectations, this turned out to be the best gluten-free airport meal I’ve ever had, the chicken was exceptionally juicy. As a side note, I accidentally paid for someone else’s order and ended up with a complimentary salad.

For Celiacs, I would recommend visually assessing the buffet line and meat cutting area before ordering for potential cross-contact of gluten containing items.

KFC is a better option for the airport. I should have chosen Burger King right next to it.

Location is next to gate E2 and across from E3; order cafeteria style.

5 stars for the fried chicken! It had been sitting under the heat lights for a while so I didn't have high hopes but it was delicious enough that I would come back and eat heat lamp chicken lol. I can imagine fresh fried is even better. The batter had good seasoning and the dark meat was tender. It appears mostly people get dark meat here - there were mountains and mountains of white meat but I'm pretty sure I got the last 3 dark pieces (it took a while of searching through the mountain).

Mashed potatoes, corn, and mixed veggies were all tasty.

Service (scooping) was shockingly slow but staff was nice.

There are tables in the back if desired.

Wasted 15 mins waiting in lines. At first it was just one cashier/staff serving everyone so I got into the lines. Saw the staff serving combos. Then another second staff joined and when it’s my turn the lady told me to get back to the new line for combo. Then when it’s finally my turn to order, they ran out of chicken and that’s another 10 minutes wait. NO THANK YOU.

I've had the fried chicken here numerous times. The first several times I thought WOW this is the BEST fried chicken I've ever had. I'm a flight attendant and have told everyone I fly with how amazing it is. However, the last 3 times it has not been good. Dry and very little flavor. The skin was tough. Today was the worst. Absolutely horrible. I really hope they can fix this because I want to continue supporting this business. Bring back the amazing juicy crispy chicken that I fell in love with

I was super hungry when I had a layover in Hawaii. I walked around the whole airport looking for something delicious to eat. I was really happy. I found this place. I haven’t been to Hawaii yet. This will be the closest food to get to comfort food in this airport.

I actually didn’t get the chicken, I got the roasted pork. I do not regret it. I didn’t get to finish it on my long flight to Guam but boy I microwave it in my hotel room and it was still really soft and delicious when I go to Hawaii, I’m going to definitely eat this food Again.

Every time we fly southwest Airlines from Maui, we stop and get chicken and rib plates, etc. to eat when we get back home so we don’t have to cook!
It’s always very good. We are always very happy.

The roast pork and fried chicken were both tasty. This is some of the best food I have had at any airport, the portions were large, and the price was very reasonable. I would not come back if it weren’t at the airport, but the next time I am at HNL I will certainly come looking for Lahaina Chicken Co.

This is my go to food when passing through Honolulu Airport or at Ala Moana Shopping centre. A healthier alternative to fast food and caters for my dietary restrictions. Always a good serve.

Dietary restrictions: While it's not strictly gluten or dairy free I can enjoy a meal here without my intolerances reacting to it.

This is best pork I had in Hawaii, maybe ever. I love pork. Kalua pork, carnitas, shredded pork, pork ribs…
I wasn't very hungry, but I didn’t order a meal for my flight. I only saw the chicken on the menu so that’s what I ordered. Then I saw the pork so the lady kindly changed my plate to pork. And it was the special for the day! If I wasn’t so satisfied from the serving, I would’ve got more. Definitely worth trying! Seriously my favorite pork. Thank you!! I wish I had taken a picture to share. The sides were good too.
