Our waitress was great, but we waited to get served at first. The bakery staff on the day we visited had an attitude. Not friendly.

Very good place to go eat at restaurant then go to the bakery and take home some delicious sweets. Unfortunately I've changed the rating from 5* to 3* because mainly of the recent service. 1st they didn't ask if we wanted a high chair for our child, 2nd our child didn't receive a water to drink we had to ask for it which was very strange, 3rd or server didn't ask us after we got our food if everything was ok, she asked us after we were finished eating which is pointless. If she did ask how we were earlier I would have asked for a spoon I needed but instead had to flag someone down and ask for a spoon. Also when we were ordering my wife was deciding what type of eggs she wanted on her loco moco and I was explaining the different types of styles in Japanese for her, while I was the server rolled her eyes with attitude yet the restaurant wasn't busy so she could have waited a few seconds patiently. Honestly we get better service at zippies near our home. We will return and I hope the service changes for the better.

I came to Liliha Bakery Nimitz with friends. The wait staff was rude. Food was ok. But we couldn't enjoy the time we spent there. So we left.

There are so many types of bread! !It will easily take you about 20 to choose.None of them are sweet enough to cause heartburn, and Japanese people enjoy them.Coco Puff's specialty, Chantilly Butter Cream, is a masterpiece with an addictive sweetness and salty taste. .The atmosphere of the attached restaurant is also very nice, so I would definitely come back next time. This is a store I would like to visit again. .202404

The music in this location and in Pearl Ridge is much too loud. You can't hear your server and you can't hear your meal mates. I utilize these locations for for +$100 check avg business meals. I will be looking out for competitive restaurants to take my business.

I have eaten at three Liliha locations multiple times each and this particular location falls short on food quality every time. Burned food, slow kitchen, poorly plated… the staff is always nice but if you’re able to choose a different location I would.Kid-friendliness: No Keiki menu and no drinks with lids so plan to bring your own and spend a bit more for an adult portion for you little ones.

In Late Feb, 2024, my pregnant wife, mother, young son, and myself were visiting family in Oahu and were referred to Liliha by our aunt. My wife has a severe nut allergy. The menu touts that one of their most popular dishes is the Waffard, a waffle with fruit that said it includes ‘mixed nuts’. My wife specified that she ‘absolutely could not eat or ingest nuts’ but was curious about splitting the Waffard with my mother if nuts could be removed. The waiter said that he could have the kitchen make it with no nuts. Later, when the food was brought, the Waffard was served with a small side of sliced almonds in a separate bowl, placed away from my wife, near my mother. Within thirty minutes after leaving my wife began turning red and had severe shortness of breath. I immediately called Liliha and asked if there was any possibility that nuts made it into her Waffard. I was told by the hostess that the actual batter of the Waffard waffle contains both macadamia nuts and walnuts. We rushed my wife to the ER as she went into anaphylactic shock (see pictures). She received an EpiPen, steroids and an emergency scan of the baby. It took nearly four hours to stabilize her. In that time I received two calls from Liliha management expressing immediate and genuine concern for her health. Both assured me I would hear from their HR department first thing in the morning. The next day I spoke to HR and that same person also seemed genuinely concerned. She assured me (both verbally and in writing) that the employee was to be disciplined and retrained to fully understand the menu. She said that Liliha would make sure we were taken care of, and that they did not take this matter lightly. A week later I spoke their insurance agent who took about ten minutes of my time, asking few questions and finally saying he'd get back to me. I said, frankly, all I was looking for was to have any medical bills taken care of. It took weeks for another call, and when it finally came I was surprised to find the tone had drastically shifted. I felt like I was being interrogated by the adjuster, who continuously twisted both the story and my words to fit a narrative that somehow shifted the blame to my wife. Again, we told the waiter she absolutely could not ingest or eat nuts, and he said he could make the dish without nuts. The agent then followed up days later with a similar email, stating that I was to never contact Liliha again, and that there would be neither an admission of guilt or a reimbursement for medical expenses. I responded with a long email to Liliha, their HR, and the insurance saying I’d not only felt harassed by the insurance but was disgusted by their stance that it was somehow our fault and that they’d backtracked on wanting to “make everything right” and that their waiter was responsible. I asked Liliha to make it right by simply paying the $1600 ER bill and refunding our $70-something dollar brunch. I got an email back from insurance (not Liliha) who said Liliha contacted him and reiterated that they never wanted to hear from me again. He said they all stood by their determination that my wife and I would not be reimbursed and that was final. It’s not worth the time, money, or energy to try to fight them in court (particularly from the mainland) and I figure they knew that from the start. My wife suffered a terrible ordeal and believed she was on the verge of having a miscarriage - an event that carries both physical and psychological weight on a new mother. We lost days away from our family and our vacation. We are out nearly two thousand dollars in costs related to their mistake and miscommunication (including the cost of the Waffard itself). I have been told by their management I am not allowed to contact them, and that we are at fault. This is our experience with Liliha Nimitz and the most we can do is share our experience with other patrons.Dietary restrictions: Severely restrictive for those with nut allergies, and dangerously flippant with dietary accommodation requests.

Cute, old school diner vibe. The garlic fried rice loco moco is really good. The house smoked pork belly is delicious but a bit too fatty for me (yes, that’s pork belly). The fried chicken is world class. We were too full for dessert, sadly. Parking sucks, but that’s because this place is good and affordable.
