Old fashioned counter sitting vibes. Aunties are taking your orders using pink paper held by a rubber band and cooking your food in front of you.
Don't skip on their infamous buttered rolls and that iconic red jam.

Wow, better than before the sale of this bakery. Staff is always kind, attentive, and intent on giving fast curtious service so you can move onto your next errand or enjoying hot, fresh food at the counter. Please don't eat all the coco-puffs, they are my wife's favorite snack...

This time I tried something other than ox tail or loco moco. Did the cheese burger. It is good but not as good as loco moco or oxtail.

Limited seating but feels like you're at waffle house.
Everyone comes here for the Coco puffs. And don't get me wrong, so do I, but they have so much other good stuff. Try one new thing each time you come, you will never be disappointed.
I have not been to this location for food, only the Aiea one, but it's a great counter style place.

This bakery was the highlight of our trip. The loco moco exceeded our expectations, and the baked goods were just as delicious. We’d absolutely come back—plus, there are so many great souvenirs to bring a piece of Hawaiʻi home.
Reviews showed higher for good reason. We found a seat at the diner counter, as there are no tables. My wife and I enjoyed perhaps the best Mahi Mahi sandwich we've ever had. Fish was perfectly grilled, sandwich stuffed with lettuce, sprouts, tomatoes, great sauce with pickles on the side. Almost melted in my mouth. Also got the chicken teriyaki sticks. They were also excellent.

Restaurantji Recommends
Run, don't walk there. Some of the best food we've had on any of the 6 islands.

Long line out the door but it was worth the wait. The mochi donut and passion fruit cupcake were my favorites. The ladies serving were very nice. The friendly locals in the line were very helpful and gave me some good tips on where to go for dim sum.

UM... YUM!
Highly recommend the French toast and ordering some pastries while you wait. Portion sizes were huge and the staff was friendly. Was kinda annoying that a table wasn't available (bar seating only) but we adapted and the positive food experience far outweighed any inconvenience with seating!

Liliha Bakery has great service, and the egg dishes are delicious. It’s always in a very pleasant mall. Their omelet, which is better described as a scramble is very tasty as is the traditional eggs any style breakfast. I fully recommend the Portuguese sausage. It’s a real treat. Where Liliha falls short is their coffee and bakery items. The coffee was extremely weak and watery. A breakfast spot with bad coffee? Isn’t Hawaiian Kina coffee supposed to be the “gold standard?” Coffee is an essential element of a great breakfast restaurant as well as any good bakery. My wife and I had to seek out a coffee shop after breakfast. What made the weak coffee even worse was they only had Coffee Mate as creamer. We asked for half & half and were informed they don’t carry it. They waitress offered milk, and we accepted because anything is better than Coffee Mate, which isn’t real dairy but “corn syrup solids (Yummy…).” We received milk in a to go salad dressing cup. We think it was 1%. While not great, it is MUCH better than Coffee Mate’s “corn syrup solids.” The other thing Liliha falls short on are the baked goods, which is another surprise given they are a famous bakery. The two items we tried – the famous Coco Puff and a chocolate chip scone – fell far short of expectations. The Coco Puff, despite the description of a crispy choux pastry, was an ice cold, wet, cream puff. It wasn’t worth finishing despite its size. It was mentioned in several reviews as something they were known for and a must try. The scone had the texture of a thick roll, not a traditional scone. While both items looked great, they were not worth the calories, lacked flavor and texture.
