I have never experienced racial profiling in my 52 years—until this visit. It was a truly horrible experience. My wife is Korean, and because I was with her, we were treated with clear disrespect that I would not wish on anyone.
We travel across the U.S. roughly 250 days a year and have been doing so for over six years. We spend our winters in Hawaii for both work and personal reasons, so we are not unfamiliar with dining here. That said, this was by far one of the most uncomfortable experiences we’ve had.
If you are not Asian or not a local, I would strongly suggest avoiding this place. While the food itself was excellent, the service was not. Our waitress, Sonya, was dismissive and unwelcoming—avoid her if possible. In contrast, the gentleman who seated us was very pleasant and went out of his way to help. I genuinely believe he noticed how poorly we were being treated and tried to make up for it.
To make matters worse, we were told they were out of lobster. However, the couple seated behind us ordered lobster shortly afterward. When I attempted to order it again, I was denied. Do better!! Also I was told that the King Crab was 800$

When you walk in you might be taken back. But dont be. The food was amazing. They handled a huge party of 30 with ease and food came out fast. We brought a cake they cut it and gave is paper plates and forks too. Must try Golden crab Tenderloin beef Peaking duck with buns Chicken fried rice Maine lobster with butter garlic Honey walnut shrimp Charsui Cake noodles with minute chicken Fresh fish/ lobster/crab. Hot tea Black bean abalone Scallops Sweet n sour shrimp And they serve beer.

Everytime I come visit family, we always have come to Lobster King for dinner and it never disappoints. The night we went, there was no crab so we settled with the lobster and it was wonderful. The staff was very apologetic and very fun to joke around with. They came out with a lobster and had some of us take pictures with them. I love their Salty fish fried rice!!!! so good!!!
