Great honest seafood. Everything that I purchased was of great quality and as described. I wish we had vendor like this in our area on mainland.

Fresh locally caught fish directly from the fisherman. We received a nice welcome and had a friendly chat with the fisherman working at the store helping his friend out with the business.

Chyeeeee whatta spot!Fresh catch off the boat, home made goodies, and cheaper and fresher than anywhere else. Cooked fish from here lasted 5 days in the fridge and smelled delish after warming - why’s that? Cuz it’s fresh af from this spot!Whatcha waiting for? Go for it!

We've bought their gumbo from the farmers markets but this was our first time buying fresh fish! Such a good price and locally sourced. Ahi was cheaper than some poke shops! Got some goodies for the dogs and humans. Customer service was spectacular- doesn't make you feel pressured to buy anything. Turned our ahi to tataki and maki!

First heard about this business from farmers market. They would have really good prices on fresh and frozen fish. This brick and mortar store is located right behind Mud Hen Water. Just turn into the parking lot and their entrance is at the end of it. Love their sashimi grade ahi. They have some good ahi Jerky, fish gumbo, etc. They even sell doggy treats. Best to call to see what fish they have as they do sell out from time to time. They are open Thursday - Sunday 10am-2pm.

Local Ia…this hidden gem of Kaimuki, behind Kaimuki Superette & Mud, Hen. Fresh fish directly from local fisherman. Fresh fish differs daily. Other items they have regularly…fish and ulu chowder and fish gumbo. All homemade stock, frozen ready to heat and eat. They also have ahi jerky and doggy treats. They decided to open this store front about 3 weeks ago since the farmers market got a little bombarded by outsiders and made it difficult for locals to get their fresh fish without all the crowds and hassle. They have a little sign out front so you know where to turn in of 9th Ave/Waialae. Check out the pictures.Hope you enjoy this place as much as I did!

The only fish I trust for freshness and quality. Not only do they treat the fish with the utmost care but also brings in fish from local fisherman who take pride in what they do. I’d highly recommend Local I‘a.

Important work to know the justice of our food choices and feel good about our ocean-sourced nutrients!

Always wanted to try Town because it's in my old neighborhood, but dinner time is way too crowded. Lunch presented with different options and unusual tasty dishes. It was a little small for the male eaters, but satisfying for ladies. My guest said it was a good choice!

The ahi tartare was fantastic! I'd like to go again for that! The stake was a little pricey because of the size. However, everything on the stake plate was very delicious. Hand cut pasta was unique and tasty!

Great place, excellent food and awesome service. I would highly recommend this establishment for dining out or to impress out of town guests. The food is exceptional and I will frequent this place for sure!

Normally I order the Mao Salad & grilled chicken (tasty!) but when my guest ordered the burger, I figured what the heck, I'll try it. ....OUTSTANDING! ! And the fries were fabulously addictive!
