The butter popcorn flavor is the best flavor. The chicken ramen flavor is not. There is a flavor for you there, though. From ordinary to bizarre, they've probably got it at one time or another.

Honey Lavender flavor is excellent, go soon before they close.

You may have heard already but @lucyslabhi is closing on 12/28/2020 which is tomorrow :( Mahalo Lucy's for serving creative ice cream flavors & spreading joy to the community. I got the Pan de Cream with buttery popcorn ice cream, strawberry jam spread, and fruit loops (as a topping). I'm a huge fan of ice cream sandwiches so this was everything I needed The toasted hot bread soaks up the cold ice cream really well (almost reminds me of Shokudo's honey toast in a way). Slide-in some fruit loops as topping to give it some crunch. The buttery popcorn icecream flavor didn't have much saltiness and had an essence of cheese-like flavor. Still good though because it was really creamy! Make sure to stop by their store & keep supporting local! My pictures also show which flavors are left as of today 12/27/2020.

I think this place does not get enough credit for what they are doing! It's also ran solely on students from UH, which means the hours might not be so concrete but they do their best to show up and open shop. The flavor combinations are so much fun and actually pretty darn close to what they are trying to achieve. They are not afraid to just try and see what happens. I think that is a great attitude for an ice cream shop, might as well have fun with it. It's one of those rare places where food can be not as consistent on flavors but can still make it. They will always have the traditional flavors on hand but the bold new flavor profiles are much appreciated. The creaminess and quality is wonderful. The coffee and donut ice cream is not overly sweet and has the delicious donut pieces. The birthday cake is like eating batter! The brown sugar and boba is on point, milk tea flavor with little pieces of tapioca bites! Mmmmmm try it! Parking is plenty and free at South Shore!

I'm a bit disappointed in the ice cream today. I usually get their buttery popcorn, but I decided to get the Thai tea and blueberry cheesecake today. The blueberry cheesecake was good, but their Thai tea was terrible. The Thai was very powdery and wasn't pleasant to eat. It ruined the blueberry cheesecake ice cream for me. I tried my best to scrape away the Thai tea and eat only the blueberry cheesecake cause the Thai tea was that bad today. I hope they can improve and have more consistency with their ice cream. I always come here since they have the best ice cream I had ever had. They usually make the ice cream just right with perfect sweetness, texture, and richness. I will still come back since I love their ice cream, but I really hope they continue to improve their consistency and quality. In all the guy serving my ice cream was very nice. The ice cream though wasn't as enjoyable as I had wished sadly.

Here's what we got:⁣ -Coffee + Donuts Pint⁣ -Caramel Azuki Pint⁣ -Honey Lavender Pan de Creme w/ Lychee Mochi ⁣ ⁣ Our thoughts:⁣ The Coffee + Donuts was by far our favorite of the three flavors we tried. The coffee flavor was strong and you get a nice bite from the soft and crumbly donut pieces. ⁣ The Caramel Azuki was good too. It reminded us of the taste of strawberry ice cream for some reason haha! Marc liked this flavor, but he was hoping for more azuki beans. ⁣ ⁣ The Honey Lavender ice cream wasn't for me because I personally don't like super sweet ice cream to begin with. But by all means, if you have a sweet tooth, this flavor is for you. The honey flavor is strong and the lavender flavor is light. The star of this would definitely have to be the bun! That WARM bun was so soft and chewy... yumm! UGH SO GOOD! I think the Coffee + Donuts ice cream would have gone really well with the Pan de Creme.

Have been visiting Lucy's Lab for a few years and love their creativity when it comes to new and unique flavors. Quality/Taste: This time around, we got Brownie Batter. Ice cream was regular chocolate ice cream with brownie pieces throughout. Brownie chucks were pretty good sizes! Their pint containers are cute. Service: Friendly service.

I'm known to be an ice cream snob and have tried just about every ice creamery in SF (or at least enough to give my top 3 recs to friends). Stumbled upon this little place at Ward and was a bit skeptical given the unusual flavors, but everything was so delicious. We settled on the Almond Float with mochi with tasted very much like almond jello ice cream. Looking forward to coming back and picking up a pint (or two)!

I love ice cream! Mostly because it is sweet and creamy.Lucy's Lab is a little different, I found it isn't as sweet, and probably why my husband liked it so much.I tried the buttered popcorn, and have been stalking this place until they finally had this flavor available. It was sort of savory and buttery. Wasn't a big deal, but glad I had a chance to finally try it.It is good quality ice cream, with unique flavors.

I'm a real big fan of supporting local and also this is one of my favorite snack place to go to. I love their Chemistry like themes. It's really interesting. I love the quirky flavors especially their Buttery popcorn ice cream in a cake cone! I do hope they had the flavor in a pint though! Even though I have the pint, I'd still be back here. I love how simple looking the place looks! So lovely

After a hot day at Ala Moana beach I was looking for some where near the area for ice cream. Lucy's Lab Creamery was one of the first places listed on Yelp. The store is located at South Shore Market place on the first floor, easy to find. When I got there I asked if they provided samples. I had my two picky kids with me and I didn't want to get a flavor they didn't like. Unfortunately I was told they don't give samples. I mean really?!?! - don't most ice cream places give samples? I was really disappointed especially since most of the flavors were rather unique - like Strawberry Sorbet Moscato, Bacon Whiskey, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, etc. I ended up getting Brownie Baller and Cinnamon Toast Crunch for the kids and Ube for myself. I was not impressed at all. The Ube was a little too sweet for my taste. My son ended up not liking the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and threw most of it away. Don't think I'll be coming back to this place anytime soon. I gave two stars because the staff was nice.

This shop has unusual flavors of ice cream, like whiskey bacon and soda. Great if you want yo try something different.
