Found half a cockroach INSIDE my food. Really shows a total lack of regard for cleanliness. The island has a ton of cockroaches everywhere and it’s a losing battle to get rid of all of them but in food prep is unacceptable. I’m still shocked by the experience 🤢🤢 they refunded us the one dish with the roach inside and wanted full price for the other two

Poo Pat Pong Curry is the best!
All dishes are large so be careful when ordering.
The food is good and the Chinese atmosphere is nice, but it's a bit expensive.

This place is a SCAM!

I never wrote review for a restaurant, but I believe nobody has to experience what we experienced with this place!

I went there with a group of my friends for dinner. My friends ordered curry crab and some other dishes, but I just wanted to have pho, so I ordered separately. The owner apparently wasn't happy that I did not order something expensive and said "just pho?", then walked away without taking my order.

All my friends' ordered items arrived before my pho, and the waitress was confused why I was not eating. I told them I ordered pho with the owner and was still waiting for my order. The owner really did not take my order! When my pho came, it was a bowl of oil and tasted like MSG! I have tried 20+ Vietnamese restaurants on the island. Their pho is the WORST!

The waitress brought rice and bread to our table which we didn't order. We told the owner that it was a mistake since we did not order. The owner said the rice and bread were part of the dishes, and said we could have more rice and bread if we needed. However, when we received the bill, they charged us extra on the rice and bread. When we questioned him, he was very rude, yelled at us and talked badly about us at the back in Vietnamese language.

Also, throughout the dinner, we witnessed the owner arguing with 2 other tables about their bills. I also looked at some of their google reviews and found some other people had the similar experience with this restaurant!

This place is a SCAM and we do not need this in our community!

Crab curry is delicious.
However, recently the amount of crabs has decreased.
I feel like the egg adds bulk.

I have eaten here many times and everything I have tried is always really flavorful and delicious. I’ve done a few of the pho, summer roll, spring roll, curry, and a few other items. Every time I go I find something else that’s good. Good service and friendly staff. Will be back again no question.

I made a reservation for dinner based on a recommendation from a friend.
It was a Saturday, but when I arrived, it was empty and there was no need to make a reservation.

My master? recommended some
I ordered the famous crab curry, stir-fried water spinach with garlic, spring rolls, and spare ribs.
The spring rolls were innovative and delicious as they were wrapped in salad greens and mint leaves.
The water spinach seems to be the same as anything I've eaten before, but it's delicious with a different and exquisite seasoning.
The crab curry was impressive! Coconut-based and full of umami! It's a taste that can't be recreated.

It's hard to access from Waikiki, but you should go! I want to go again next time. It took about 15 minutes by Uber.

The food is good but the person that works there is incredibly rude. I went to get food from there and my friends card was charged twice. When she called he verbally assaulted her and refused to give her money back. Beware. This has happened to two people I know.

Food is good but watch your bank statements! I was charged twice as well as my colleagues and when the owner was questioned about the charges he began screaming and becoming ver hostile at us. When offered to show him bank statements he said he did not care about them and refused to let me speak. I would use cash if going to avoid this man.

About 20 years ago, an acquaintance who lived locally took me there. I remember being surprised when he told me that a few days before he took us, he had taken EXILE with him. It was my first time eating Vietnamese food, and I still remember how delicious it was!

it's the best. Especially the crab curry + French bread and Ken's fried rice.

Crab curry costs $88 and they didn’t tell us ahead of time… It’s ok because it really did taste good. BUT!!! There was a string of hair in the spring roll, and the waitress only offered to take half off?? So disgusting Everything we ordered today tastes good, but that string of hair…just stay away. ? (Look at the cockroach experience from another customer!!) I rareeely give 1 star to restaurants because I believe business owners work hard and try their best to keep their business running. But this attitude, this sanitary level?? nahhhhhh

[MAI LAN] Enjoy Vietnamese cuisine using Hawaiian ingredients. The famous crab curry is exquisite! ?I love American Asian food. So, I went to MAI LAN, a Vietnamese restaurant located about 15 minutes north of Ala Moana Center. The atmosphere is very deep and the cluttered interior is very Asian. They seem to be particular about the ingredients, with water spinach grown in Hawaii and shrimp also grown in Hawaii. The Vietnamese crepe with crispy pork and shrimp is also delicious. The main dish is the famous crab curry. The richly flavored crab curry made with a large Canadian crab is seriously delicious.Enjoy it to the end by dipping it on bread or pouring it over fried rice from the secret menu. The mango pudding is also rich with Hawaiian mango.Hawaii! I feel more relaxed here than in a store lol=======It's like this with 6 people.・RAU MUON XAO $17.00Stir-fried water spinach・TOM CANG BUN TAU $39.50Spicy shrimp and vermicelli hotpot・BANH XEO $19.50Vietnamese crepe with shrimp pork bean sprouts・CARY CUA Market Pricecrab curry・Fried RiceSecret menu fried rice・BANH SOAI $4.50×3mango puddingLiquor・Long Board $5.00

First time visit and will return. We met owner Sam, who was delightful. He was very welcoming and accommodated my husband's vegan requests. The Ong Choi vegan style was delicious, as was the soup noodle dish with veg broth and tofu. I enjoyed the lemongrass beef on vermicelli noodles. Veggies fresh and stir-fried just right. Good portions. Free parking. Atmosphere a 3 just because the shop front/entrance looked a bit run down. We almost didn't go in, but glad we did. Don't be fooled by the exterior.

This is a restaurant with a story. It is a must-eat restaurant for many Japanese friends. Some people don’t know yet. Seafood and crab are their favorite, especially with bread. Come and try it. There are many photos of celebrities taking photos on the wall. The boss has Story

Parking: There are free parking spaces outside the restaurant, but there are not many places.
