We heard about Mama Pho and made it here to lunch. It was right after lunch and there weren’t too many people in the restaurant. We were seated right away and the food came pretty quickly. I ordered the veggie pho and the veggie vermicelli bowl. The two dishes are pretty similar (if you order the veggie pho ask for the tofu.. it doesn’t come with the order). We also ordered the chicken dish and it was prepared very well. The portions are pretty generous…the garlic oil on the table is the highlight! The serving staff was very attentive and checked in often. We’ve had pretty flavorful veggie broth at other places so I don’t think we’d be back here … even for the volcano garlic oil :)

We frequent the shopping center at least once a week and never tried this place because we are not a fan of pho. We happened to be in the right place at the right time and decided to try it for a bahn mi and some vermicelli. We walked in and found the staff so welcoming and the atmosphere was beautiful and so calm as compared to the hustle and bustle of the shopping center. I was impressed by key questions, as we ordered vegetarian (are peanuts okay?) and when served, they also confirmed vegetarian selection (even for the dipping sauce!). Again, I cannot say enough at the politeness of the staff and the quality of the food. Would absolutely go here again. In our opinion, it is a hidden gem! The one thing I felt could be improved, was my Diet Coke was served from the bar and didn't have the fizz I wanted…it was a little weak. Other than that, absolutely perfect visit. (Note, the price per person is including a $9 dessert. If not for dessert, we would have fallen into the $10-20 range).

The price is a bit expensive, more expensive than eating in DC, probably because of the atmosphere, so the price is a bit high. People who eat spicy food will probably love chili oil.

I wanted to have a healthy meal for lunch, so I chose Vietnamese food. This time I ordered pho and spring rolls. You can adjust the spiciness of pho yourself, which is convenient. The spring rolls are also deep-fried and are delicious with meat and vegetables inside. The fresh spring rolls are a separate dish and contain shrimp.

"Delicious pho"
I was having trouble choosing a meal at Ala Moana Center, and to be honest, I went in with low expectations (partly because there weren't many customers), but it turned out to be a great decision.
Ordered rare steak pho and vegetarian pho. Both the soup and noodles were light and easy to eat and very delicious.
If you add the chili oil on the table, it will be even more delicious! The spiciness is also mild, so please choose according to your taste.

Beautiful hidden restaurant at the busy Ala Moana Centre.
Enjoyed a delicious and fresh Chicken Pho with absolutely spectacular spring rolls. I really enjoyed my meal here. Everything was fresh and I couldn’t have ask for a tastier pho
The restaurant was relatively quiet. It may have been just the time I chose to eat.
Overall recommended. Loved this place and would return without hesitation ??

The meat in my fall rolls was really dry. The pho was okay. Condiments made it better. Wouldn’t go back again and probably wouldn’t recommend to others. Not special.

We came here twice on vacation and it was so good! The staff is so friendly and the pho is amazing. My husband had the rare steak pho and I had the vegetarian pho and added tofu to it. Best tofu I’ve ever had! I so wish we had this place in California! I’d go all the time if I could. Highly recommend if you want a great pho with friendly people.

I was surprised that this restaurant was so much less crowded than those nearby. The food is flavorful, with hot sauce, chilis, and other flavorings on the table so you can make it as spicy as you want. Service is fast and friendly.
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian pho broth is more flavorful than at other restaurants.
