I hardly ever have allergic reactions to food, but tonight I had an allergic reaction to the miso tonkatsu sandwich. I'm not even sure what the ingredients were inside the sandwich that made me react like I have a chemical burn on my lips. I will never eat here again! Scary to think if another person with sensitivity to foods could react badly. Maybe their drinks are better?... Unfortunately, I haven't tried the drinks. 3/19/24

When i was standing in line waiting for me to be served i saw a cockroach crawling on the sandwiches. The employees there didn't seem to care and let it crawl on the food. They were also very hostile towards me and seemed like they don't want to be there. There's better places to get authentic Japanese sandwiches in Hawaii, a disappointment if i say so myself.I got the Tonkatsu sandwich, Teriyaki chicken avocado, and the Japanese sandwich... honestly don't see the hype, and was very very very expensive! please avoid.

Get the strawberry milk! Just trust me and do it. Get it with a little bit of ice. We went to get the Japanese strawberry sandwich and the mixed fruit sandwich to go, and wanted a drink to share. I had one sip of my friends strawberry milk and literally commanded my husband to get 2 more: one for each of us they were that good! I don’t even like milk and I loved that. Those strawberries they use really made it. It was sweet and refreshing. I did pay for it later (lactose intolerant) it it was worth it!The sandwiches were also very good and well worth every penny. Those Japanese strawberries are delicate and perfectly sweet and sour and that bread is hands down the best. I always hit up the Mana bakery when we visit Hawaii so I have o my good things to say.

I am a sucker for fruit sandos and I love that I can easily get them at Ala Moana! The fruit is refreshing, the bread is so airy, and the cream is not too sweet. It really makes for the perfect dessert when you just need something to fulfill a tiny sweet craving. The ladies who helped me were very kind. It is a little bit on the expensive side for the portion size which is something to consider. I'm not the biggest fan of large desserts so I personally think the quality is worth it.

Hi Jambo

TBH, I have only had the ice cream here, but it was one dream of a cream.

Awesome spot for a savory or sweet treat. The sandwiches here are fantastic and are made with Hokkaido style bread. Also they have Japanese strawberries for those looking for a unique and delicious treat.

I have passed by this place many times in Ala Moana, but never ate here. When I saw this place on the news, and the owner(s) was explaining the ingredients and everything, I was drawn and went to try it. It definitely lived up to the hype, I bought different flavors of sandwich, they were all good. Talking about the importance of advertising lol.A must-try place if you are visiting Hawaii.

The sandwiches are pricey but worth every penny! This is my second visit and I got the strawberry cream croissant sandwich! It was the perfect midday snack to go with iced coffee.

Mana Sandwiches is situated within The Lanai food court, second level of Ala Moana Center, across from Macy's. They replaced Da Spot a few months back, serving Japanese sandos - fruit and cream, katsu, among others- soft serve and various drinks. They also offer Japanese strawberries, Tochiotome and Amarin varieties, for sale. The Amarin are pricey...I like strawberries, but I don't love them. I've had a mixed fruit sando - all bread served are from Brug Bakery - pineapple, strawberry, kiwi, and orange. It was quite good. Strawberry , strawberry sauce, and oreo parfait was also good. This afternoon, I picked up a Portobello Mushroom Katsu Sando along with an iced caramel latte. The latter was average. The former, I will save for dinner. I still need to try their Strawberry Milk as strawberries are what Mana Sandwiches are known for...imported from Japan...farm to table. Prices are a bit much...it is AMC after all.
