Excellent service is always provided. Servers are always very pleasant and very accommodating. My favorite is the salmon ochazuke. But I also enjoy the wagyu burger with fries and pork chops.
美味しくいただけました。日本語メニューがなく無難なものを選ばざるを得なかったことが残念でした。 世界中から来店あると思うので、コストがかからないサービスは改善の余地があると思います。
We had a party of 9, drinks were fast, appetizers were hot, food came out all at the same time. Excellent service. Everyone in the party enjoyed their meal and cocktails'. Flawless.
We had a party of five. Four people ordered the Beet Salad which they said was excellent. I had the scallops which were cooked perfectly over a bed of mash potatoes. As usual, the popovers were awesome.
Stellar service! Prompt just enough attention and nice local vibe. Kids menu is actually really good food and nice touch with the cookie and ice cream dessert! Always go back around sunset with that amazing sunset view and hawaii cool breeze. Again did I mention the super service! The staff are super friendly with tons of aloha!
This time the Smoked pork chop was so dry it was hard to eat. The corn chowder is consistently good.
The service was poor. Hardly saw the waiter. Took awhile to flag him down and get our check. The beet bowl was ok. Not sure if I'll return again.
Our server, Blaze was very attentive to our needs, friendly, and accommodating. The food was delicious and the tea for ochazuke was hot.
Our waiter was Tony and he was amazing. It was at the end of his day and he didn't hurry us along. They had dumped their coffee out but Tony gave me another option. Thank you for serving us. The food and atmosphere were great.
Mariposa is a local gem - hidden away perfection! Well known by locals so hard to get in at popular times, you must make a reservation! Request the well shaded patio for a lovely view of the sparkling ocean. From the initial demi-cup of consume offered with the amazing popovers and strawberry butter, you're in for a treat and one of the best experiences in the islands. Our waiter Blaze was outstanding, as was all of the staff. Cocktails were creative and fabulous - the best I've had around the world - seriously!! Each dish was delicious and perfect, from the Crab & Shrimp Louie to the pulled pork sandwich. I can not give Mariposa a higher recommendation. 10 Stars !!

We've been coming here for years for the Puffs ( popovers) they were terrible. Raw inside, none were the normal popover size - one was actually flat. My out of town guests always request we go here- it was very disappointing. I was here last year celebrating a birthday and it was great, I'm not sure what happened but for the high price tag I'm not sure I'd come back!
Excellent overall. We sat outside. I had scallops with truffled potatoes just delicious. It was a birthday celebration and there were just two choices on the menu for my vegetarian guest. She asked if they could provide a vegetarian risotto and our very attentive server Joey said he would ask the chef and let us know immediately that a vegetarian risotto would be available. The popovers continue to amaze. Just a perect touch. m
This is my favorite restaurant at this time all around for food, ambiance, and service. This night in particular fell short in the service department. We had multiple servers attend to our table an all were kind, knowledgeable, and professional. The reason why they fell short is I talked up the special Mariposa bread roll to my guest, and we did not get the bread to our table even though I saw other tables around us receive their bread. Finally, when our entrees were served, I had to as the server "can we please have some bread". He looked mortified and brought the bread out and it was amazing as always. Please do better next time is all I ask. Mahalo piha.
Delicious food, wonderful service with superb view! Try ahi, even good for Japanese. The best restaurant to enjoy Honolulu. Don't forget to get reservation.
Is there a more underrated restaurant around? Very rarely can you find a place in such a prime location, staffed by attentive servers, serving delightful food, and sporting stylish ambiance. Well, let me tell you about Mariposa ...
Chad was incredibly attentive as our server throughout the evening for our party of six, who were seated beside the tall windows overlooking the Ala Moana seascape at sunset from Neiman Marcus' third floor. We were served fresh, delicious Pacific fare whilst a live musician set the cool vibe, and we had an all-around memorable experience.
It may be better known for lunch, which I have little problem with as I would rather their weekend dinner service be kept a local secret. But I would be remiss not to share: this spot is worth travelling for.
