The menu item that isn't available in Japan is the Double Filet-o-Fish, so I ordered that.
I was curious about the taro pie, so I ordered it, but it was kind of like taro jam, so it was just okay.
Apart from the all-you-can-drink drinks, everything else is pretty much the same as in Japan, so there were a lot of Japanese people visiting who were having trouble finding food.
Kid-friendliness: You can stay there without any problems, but the security is a little bad.

I came here because I wanted to try the local menu spam egg’s & rice. It is relatively close and easy to access from where you are staying. It's like, "Is this what it is?" Experienced the local McDonald's. In commemoration of that.

While inside the restaurant, using the app, I ordered egg, spam and rice for my son. I also ordered smoothie strawberry banana. I also wanted to order hot chocolate but it wasn’t available. Hot coffee wasn’t also available. Placed the order, entered table 124 and paid. Then waited and waited and waited. Then I realized the app was waiting for me to tap “I’m here” (although I’m inside the restaurant) to submit the order then it asks for my table #… Then I had to go pick it up because they don’t have strawberry banana smoothie. Kinda defeat the purpose of selling coffee at breakfast time when any hot drinks are unavailable. The app could have also let us know strawberry banana smoothie is not available.
Terrible location. Says 24hrs. But they will randomly tell you that they are closed for 30-60 minutes. Won’t give you a reason why, and who tf cares why, when it’s 0130 and you want a damn crappy burger before going to bed. McDonald’s constantly showing their commitment to sub par customer service.

This McDonald’s won’t blow you away, but it gets the job done. The food was about what you’d expect—not bad, not great, just standard. The fries were fresh but could’ve used a little more salt, and the burger was fine, though nothing special. At least the drink machine was fully stocked and working, which is always a win.

Was hoping to try their rice and musubi for breakfast, but sadly they had none left. Also wanted coffee, which they didn't have. Being right in Waikiki, we understood that they would have a steady stream of customers and food would run out. We never did go back, before flying home.

It's perfect for a light meal! There aren't many seats, so you may have to wait a bit when it's crowded. When making a reservation at the kiosk, you must pick up the number card next to it. When there are not many customers, the waiter brings the food directly.

Typical McDonald's food but an occasional special request for things like no cheese always adhered to the request. Quick service even with lower staff late at night and they handle the late night characters professionally. Only complaint is the requirement to often limit folks to 5 inside the store late at night but probably makes sense. However the inability to eat at tables in front lobby late at night is sad but probably hard to police number of folks in store.
