A nice newer McDonald's clean and well kept, but the service is very slow. It took 10 minutes to get a happy meal and fountain drink. There were others who had to wait longer, and yet there were less than 20 people in the whole store.
This McDonalds takes FOREVER to go through the drive through.

If you ask for anything special like no salt or change the onion they will never get it right. If you can your app on the scanner they have their that's off then you can't use that deal. It's just gone. You will wait up to 15 plus minutes to order because they refuse to hire a register person. To save money. No drink refills and no ketchup unless requested and then it's three packs. If you complain and say it's mismanaged like i and others have done then the one white manager Brandon tells you to leave and says you can't come back. The other staff struggle with English and getting orders right as they are Micronesian. Though aside from that are nice and work hard. Brandon is the issue. And as a customer i should be allowed to criticize the management without being banned. Unless that is the new corporate policy. There is another McDonald's oceanside. And the food is better even if they close the dinning room. You can still order. Also Brandon closed the door due to a kitchen issue and let us all in except for a def gay man in drag. Possible bias

I would avoid this McDonald’s if you can. There is one located down the street on Kalakaua that he much better service. This location still does not offer free refills like many other McDonald’s on the island as well as most other fast food restaurants. They still blame it on the pandemic instead of just saying because it saves on their costs. The staff are always rude and unhelpful. Plenty of other restaurants around with better service and quality.
The only place in Honolulu to eat without going broke.

Old women who work here are absolutely rude to everyone they interact with. There are only two old women working here. One looks to be above 60 years old. There were 19 orders backed up at this McDonald’s for breakfast and only these two women working trying to get everything done. Horrible service. Slow orders. Rude to customers. What a let down. Not the kind of service and kindness you expect from this amazing state and amazing people.
