I've been around the island of Oahu 4 times eating throughout Japanese/Korean restaurants. This place will always have a special place in my heart for their awesome katsu at a cheap/reasonable price. Keep up the good work guys!!
A slice of Japan here at home!We've come here for ramen and Tonkatsu and I must say, we were not disappointed! Their Tan Tan ramen is my absolute favorite on the island. It's rich, tasty, slightly sweet, and not too salty. Tan tan can get strong at other places but Menchanko Tei does it perfectly. The meat is so soft and so damn flavorful in every bite. They use Sun noodles and it is so complimentary to Tan Tan. It picks up the soup so well with every slurp but slides...
I love the nanban fried chicken. I always return for the nanban fried chicken set. The set also comes with a small salad, rice, and miso soup. There is another set where you can get a small nanban fried chicken bowl with rice with another small bowl of ramen.Definitely worth coming and trying the chicken!
