Had a great dinner. When our server, Theo, found out we were celebrating my wife's retirement, he brought over two complementary glasses of champagne. Later, when our wine for our entrees was delayed, he comped those too. The food was delicious. We were so stuffed we didn't have room for dessert, but Theo brought us a scoop of vanilla ice cream anyway. Overall, wonderful service and experience.

The beet salad is an absolute dream — vibrant, crisp, and perfectly balanced with flavors that feel both refreshing and indulgent. And the wild-caught salmon? Simply mouthwatering. Cooked to perfection every single time, it melts in your mouth and leaves you savoring every last bite. But the true star for me will always be the French onion soup. Rich, deeply flavorful, and soul-warming, it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had and a must-have on every visit. No trip to Honolulu feels complete without stopping here and ordering it.

The chocolate pouch was amazing, and the iced cream that came with it was clearly house made. The only reason I didn't give Merriman's five is that I was hoping for slightly more original specials. The execution on their advertised menu was still to notch.
