A good friend of mine and I meet for lunch once a month. I've only been to Merriman's for dinner and had a great experience. Lunch proved to be just as good an experience. I ordered the prime roast beef sandwich and didn't expect it to be exactly like prime rib, so it was a little too raw for me. I asked the server if he could ask the kitchen to make it medium or medium well and within a few short minutes, he brought it back perfectly made. It was really good and the rosemary fries were out of this world! The service was outstanding with continuous refills of iced tea and water, and the atmosphere relaxing and quiet! Would definitely go back! =)

Our second time for Pau Hana and probably our last. Staff was focused on certain groups of people who seemed connected to the service staff. They were provided table service and unlimited refills. Not that we needed or wanted the same, just made us feel like we were being overlooked.

Waiter loved to hear himself talk and went on and on endlessly. We didn't actually go to this restaurant to hear his performance. I would still be sitting there now, had I not interrupted his fillibuster length speech.

Food was excellent as always, we went for the wagyu truffle burgers and truffle fries! This is possibly the best tasting gourmet burger ever! The wifey added the french onion soup & afternoon Prosecco to her meal & couldn't finish everything ?! Our server Andrew was very knowledgeable with other food options & gave us the best service experience too! Best time to go is when they open for lunch, free parking in the same building out back.

I'm a regular patron of Merriman's and the food is always consistently excellent. Our server Ailee was the best, so attentive and interactive. We had the lamb empanadas, an appetizer special, and they were fantastic! If they have it again, I'd definitely get it, the pastry was so flaky and the lamb was not over cooked and seasoned well. We had the macadamia nut crusted mahi one of their signature dishes that never disappoints. Good service, nice ambiance, and wonderful food, don't miss it!

We booked through OpenTable. We arrived on time and were asked to wait about 15 minutes. We were then offered the worst table in the restaurant right next to the kitchen and bathrooms. Very loud with lots of clattering pots and pans. We asked for another table and had to wait another 15 minutes. We were then offered a table in the sun outside when tables in the shade were empty. And we had to wait again. This all left a very poor impression. This was on Easter Sunday, late lunch. Very poor service by the hostess. Once we got the food, it was excellent.

Superb decor and food. Our go to place when in Kakaako. Wife always has the pot pie. I loved my mahi sandwich today. Best lemon aid and ginger beer. Tako in escargot sauce absolutely delicious.

Merriman's Honolulu menu was boring, food quality was mediocre, situated down town at the base of a high rise. This location is nothing compared to the Maui Merrimans, which is fantastic. The service was fantastic.

My husband and I just spent 2 weeks in Hawaii and dining at Merriman's was by far our best meal. The service was excellent and the food was perfect. I highly recommend the szechuan beans.

I mainly ordered appetizers, but nothing was particularly delicious as I expected. The dessert was okay, but the portion was too small... It's modern and has a good atmosphere because you can listen to live music, but the food wasn't very large for the price and the taste was disappointing. The service was good.

We had the best experience. Michael was our server and he took such great care of us. He made excellent menu suggestions and was so helpful and kind ensuring that 2 birthday celebrations were made extra special. The food was amazing. All six of us enjoyed everything from the appetizers to the entrees and then the desserts. We highly recommend Merriman's. Thank you!

We were skunked by another restaurant, and ended up at Merrimans. Great audible. The restaurant is beautiful, the food was fantastic and the service was exquisite. Can’t wait to come back.

It was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, and the service was great! It was my friend's birthday and they brought us two glasses of champagne to start and a birthday dessert! We had a great time. My only complaint was that a kitchen service charged appeared on the check? I was happy to leave a large tip but feel this kitchen service charge is uncalled for as it was never mentioned?

Came across this spot when I was quite hangry and I was a little skeptical as it seemed kindof bougie. Boy, was I wrong! The menu was quite interesting (twists on more classic Hawaiian dishes, like a poi crema for your quesadilla) and the food was delicious. We ended up ordering seconds of the fish tacos because they were that good! The restaurant also gave us a small vegetable dish to try and a bowl of this AMAZING tomato soup on the house to make up for waiting for our dishes to come out, even though we weren’t even waiting that long. Our server was really sweet. Also, we came during Happy Hour which made the prices very reasonable for the quality of food. Would definitely recommend and would come back for sure!

Food and services are both awesome. They messed up our waiting time at first. But they tried a lot to make up by offered a round of free drink and free dessert. Food awesome. And thumbs up for the good attitude. Five Stars.
