Michel's at the Colony Surf

Very good food with amazing service. We had the dinner special and escargot to start with and everything was delicious.

I thought I should have made the reservation 3-4 months before in order to hold a window (ocean) side table, but the sun set was too bright, so I was happy that we did not get the window side table. Food was just the average. I expected more for their signature lobster bisque. The soup had a lot of liquor taste, so did not feel much lobster. Raw oysters were tasted great, but surprisingly small. We expected more for the price. Don't forget sunscreen. Very bright when the sun set and the restaurant was really warm.

The staff here is unreal. The service and attention we were given through the meal was outstanding. You can't really beat the ambiance being right on the water on the Gold Coast out of the Waikiki busy streets. I have been here a few times but haven't been back in 8 years. For the price you pay at michels and the reputation it has had for years I was expecting a lot more. We went to celebrate a birthday and engagement so we were looking for an experience. The table side service was wonderful and exciting pretty hard to beat. Drinks were great and the escargot was pretty spot on. When it came to the mains I would have definitely sent back everything that came out but I have a hard time turning back any food or even leaving a bad review at all. The lamb was bland my partner didn't Even want to finish it and was also undercooked. The Wellington couldn't have been much worse. I asked for whatever the chef recommended and it came out looking like poke Blue pretty much uncooked and still mooing. The other Wellington was almost blue also and was asked to be medium well. I don't mind blue as long as it isn't tough so I just ate it because the other Wellington was sent back to the kitchen. If they found a new chef I would come back but I could cook a better steak blindfolded. Thank you to all the staff for being incredible and holding everything together for our special day. The chef has absolutely no business being in a kitchen I don't think I would even trust him at McDonalds on a deep fryer.

Entire staff executed their service to our family with great care, attentiveness and was absolutely excellent They went above & beyond Food was the best we've had in years & we haven't been here in about 35yrs Enjoyed Michael & Teddy's expertise. They were charming and it was such a memorable Father's Day dinner

Best dinner I've ever had, the after hour menu is great for only $100 you will be stuffed of Gourmet delicate food. Tipped close to what the bill was because I loved it so much. Possibly highlight of my trip. Thank you

This was the third time we've celebrated our anniversary at Michel's and it was wonderful as always! We had a nice table by the window overlooking the water with perfect timing for a beautiful sunset. Michael, our server gave excellent suggestions for wine and food, and we thoroughly enjoyed watching him prepare our cherries jubilee dessert table side. Everything was delicious and we highly recommend Michel's!

We had an amazing time at Michel’s! The food was delicious, the service was top notch, and the sunset view with the sound of waves breaking on the shore made for a beautiful evening. Stewart was very personable, professional, and made great recommendations (ask for him). Toss Michel’s on your list for an enjoyable evening!

Arrived 20 minutes early for our reservation & the host said it’d be a few minutes..we go back to the host stand and get told we can’t be seated because we are dressed too casual (understandable) but the fact that she waited till our reservation time to tell us was annoying and inconvenient when she knew the moment she saw us we wouldn’t be able to be seated. We were able to go back to the hotel and change and thankfully still be seated. Food was great and so was the service from the server! I’d go back to try their Cesar salad and for the views but other than that it wasn’t anything extravagant.

Seaside upscale French restaurant with unique and flavorful menu

Super fun tasting menu with incredible staff. Our waiter, Kelani, was so kind and helpful. It’s right on the water and I have sensitive eyes so he brought me an assortment of sunglasses to pick from!! That alone shows the care and quality of the restaurant. The tasting menu was so much fun and very tasty. Great for an upscale date night.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful. The view of the catamarans, kayakers, and the boats was spectacular. The service at the restaurant was impeccable. The meals were divine. Most of my friends had the filet mignon and lobster. They said the filets were flavorful. I had the beef wellington which I really enjoyed. The meal presentations were a work of art. We also had the Caesar salad which is made at the table. For dessert the group had lemon sorbet and the chocolate cake. I will return to try the Kauai Coffee seasoned lamb and the bananas foster.

Exquisite dining experience! Table side preparation of their lobster bisque and Caesar salad create a sense of timeless luxury. Scottish salmon and Duck a l'orange entrees were perfectly prepared! And the service was absolutely the best we have experienced anywhere!

Michel's is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or enjoy a romantic dinner. The ambience and ocean views are absolutely exceptional — we even had the pleasure of watching the sunset from our table. Shortly after being seated, we were served water, crispy lavash, and a wonderfully creamy, flavorful butter. We started with fresh raw oysters, which were incredibly delicious, and two orders of escargot, served in a ceramic dish with six compartments, each one generously filled with butter and cheese — exactly how I love my escargot! For our main experience, we chose the tasting menu with wine pairing, which was absolutely perfect. Each wine selection complemented the courses beautifully, from the soup and appetizers to the salad, steak, and dessert. The lobster for the lobster bisque was sautéed right at our table, as was the Caesar salad, adding an extra touch of elegance to the evening. Every dish was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend Michel's for an unforgettable dining experience! Mahalo!

Amazing food and great service. Nice view of Waikiki.

I went heard of this restaurant burn it came highly recommended for my husbands bday. Every reservation I made we had a complimentary desert EXCEPT for the place I actually made a birthday reservation for. Which was here. Now on to the food, the lobster bisque was salty I couldn't even eat it. The ceasar salad was delicious but the drinks make me sick. I had a lemon drop and it was so juicy it literally made me sick. Sorry I usually don't write reviews but this to me has to be said . Sorry. Time to update
