This restaurant is located right by the beach, at the foot of Diamond Head, offering a stunning view of the sea. The service is top-notch, with impeccable hospitality. However, the entrance is small and dark, leaving a less-than-ideal impression. The taste of the food is disappointing, especially the stakes, fish, onion soup and bread. While the presentation and theatrics of the dishes are commendable, the taste is underwhelming. Overall, I would rate it 3 stars.

We had not been to Michel's for 30 years and still the setting cannot be beat. The waiter assigned to our table was busy so two other waiters, both named Michael, came over at different times to speak with us. They were personable and knowledgeable. I wanted foie gras as an appetizer and the chef was very accommodating. We shared three appetizers; foie gras, oysters, and escargot which were all first rate. Our entrees were Beef Rosinni and steak and lobster, again they did not disappoint. The reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is the elegance it used to have has dropped a notch and excluding the two Michaels, the wait staff lacks the finesse that they all had previously. It is still a very good restaurant and I will go back again.

The food was good except for my main course. The steak was overcooked and flavorless. The veggies also needed some flavor. The apps and drinks were great, service was excellent and the view was beautiful.

This is my fifth time visiting this restaurant, and I'm disappointed that the flavor of their famous lobster soup has deteriorated dramatically. To be more specific, the amount of alcohol added to the dish in front of me was strange, and the alcoholic flavor came to the fore, ruining the lobster flavor. There were 11 people who came to the store, and they all had the same opinion, so I'm sure there's no doubt. Also, it generally took too long to serve. It's not empty, but it's not as crowded as it used to be, so why does it take so long? Even after 2 hours, the main steak did not come out. There are too many staff in the hall and it feels like they are overworked, and I feel that there are problems with staffing and kitchen operations. I will never come to this store again.

Celebrated my niece and my birthday tonight. Food, ambience and service was impeccable. Our waiter Kai was very attentive and explained everything as far menu and while preparing the cherries jubilee. Will definitely come back soon!

Wish I could give it more than five stars. The views and atmosphere are the best here. My wife and I came here for my 50th birthday and had the best experience ever. All the staff are great. Our server Josh was on point. He suggested some of the best drinks on the menu. We had french onion soup and fresh oysters for an appetizers. We had the ribeye dinner for 2, and it was perfect. I highly recommend this place. Make sure Josh is your server.

Absolutely wonderful meal with amazing staff and presentation. A 10/10. Our first time there but the couple we went with were regulars over years ... and said it was the best restaurant here. It did not disappoint.

We had a great time celebrating our anniversary. Psy was a wonderful host and server and we enjoyed all the table side offerings that he prepared! Would love to go again for another special occasion.

I ordered the premium wine pairing and tasting menu. The presentation was excellent of the first course, amuzebuush. I could have used a fourth cracker to. The wine pairing came after the dish which was a little disappointing and did not pair well. Next item was the french onion soup which was excellent presentation and taste with an excellent wine pairing. Taste was very rich together they are an exquisite pairing. The next pairing took a while to prepare but it gave me time to cleanse the pallet. Rose wine with a cezar salad. Although it did take a little long for salad to be prepared... they did make in front of me, which was a delight. John the GM prepared it. The Sorbet for pallet cleanse was very light and refreshing. Sadly, the steak wasn't tender, and I ran out of water for about 10 minutes. The wine pairing was fantastic with the desert, a rasberry ice cream with chocolate cake. The wine was totart, I would have liked to had a port wine. Overall I would defiantly recommend this venue

Our server was fantastic. We showed up early and they seated us anyway at a small table by the bar. Our table was ready within the perfect amount of time for a single cocktail. We were there to celebrate a birthday and it was a fantastic experience.

Absolutely wonderful! We've been going there for over 20 years and have never been disappointed!! Philip and his team run a tight ship. They treat you as family-Ohana! Mahalo!

It was a seaside restaurant with a really nice view and a great place to watch the sun go down. However, the service was far from top-notch and was so bad that I hesitated to tip.The person in charge of the table was a veteran sommelier with a small batch. When I first tried to sit down, he pulled the chair out and forcefully pushed it into the back of my knees. (Of course, the chair hit the back of my knee.) To be honest, I was a little surprised, but at this point I couldn't believe it was on purpose! That's what I thought. However, it feels like I'm being forced to sit down.Next, I ordered alcohol, and since I came by car, I didn't need alcohol. If you tell me, a little bit will be fine! I said persistently. I refused because I wouldn't be able to pay attention to him if I had an accident, but after a while, he explained the wine menu again and I was overwhelmed.Lastly, I ordered a chocolate cake (which comes with a separate white sauce).Even though I was still eating the cake, she poured some white sauce on my cake and put away the empty bowl.I laughed out loud at the final blow.I looked at the person I went with and wondered what just happened. and,,.This is the first time in my life.In conclusion, I would not recommend it to anyone who wants to make important memories or important anniversaries into wonderful memories. It's too risky.I think the food is generally delicious, but I think it's difficult to imagine the delicate taste and beauty of French cuisine. It was just good old American food.If you do go, I think you should be careful about the amount you eat. The retired couple diagonally to my right were shocked to see a huge lump of meat. (half was left)The group of Japanese people on the left had been ordered as part of the course, and when they saw the steak being brought to them after their bisque soup had swollen their stomachs, they said, ``I can't do it!'' He was tweeting.Almost 90% of the customers at this restaurant are Japanese. I think. When I went there, there was only one group of people from other countries with their families. It seems like a restaurant with a long history and dignity, but I guess they have been providing decent service to Japanese customers! Unfortunately, I felt sad.
