Mitch's Fish Market & Sushi Bar is one of my favorite spots on the island to stop for sushi. The food is so good, the service is quick, and the ambiance is truly a classic sushi experience. Everything is caught fresh and prepped on-site. 5/5, would eat here again!

The seafood is definitely fresh, but it's not quite the best Poke or Sushi I've had here on the island.

The quality of the food is high. They are just ordinary sushi & sashimi people can get from other cities. Way too overpriced. Nothing really blows my mind other than the price.

The fish was incredibly fresh and delicious, but I found scales on one of my sashimi pieces. I complained to the staff twice about this issue, but the server was completely indifferent and did nothing to address it. Great food quality, but the service and attention to detail definitely need improvement.

Fantastic sashimi/sushi - even better than we wxpected from reviews. Not licensed so you need to BYO if you want alcohol. Seemed ro have a thriving takeaway trade.

This is a good spot if you're passing through, like to/from Pearl Harbor from Waikiki, or just before going to the airport or right after arriving. It's walking distance from the airport terminal.

Pretty good stuff! Definitely a strong a la carte fish list. Generally well-prepared sushi. I wouldn't necessarily say it's the outright best around Honolulu or that you have to go far out of your way to specifically eat here, but I also don't think you'd be disappointed.

Generally a pretty low-key space. When I stopped by mid-afternoon on a weekday it was very quiet, only a couple other customers there and easy to walk in.

We are visiting and wanted to get fresh sushi before heading to the airport and this is probably the best decision we made on this trip.

It is in a warehouse/industrial area with an unassuming exterior and interior, but there’s a huge sign with the word “SUSHI” so you won’t miss it.

We really enjoy fatty fish and so we ordered the aloha party platter and uni sashimi for variety and it did not disappoint. The fish was fresh and the rice was appropriately sized and seasoned appropriately.

The quality was on par if not better than the sushi we had at nice omakases across North America and some mid range omakases in Japan.

Our favourite were the king salmon and otoro. The Unagi nigiri was also a stand out, it was perfectly charged and beautifully flavoured.

We made a reservation and heard that it does get quite busy, but we went early (5pm) so there were no crowds.

We made a reservation for 7:30pm, not realizing they closed at 8pm. However, our large nigiri order came out quickly and they gave us a heads up for last call, and didn’t rush us at all. We have had sushi in several major cities in the mainland throughout our travels to Hawaii, and we have had sushi in several large coastal cities over the last few years. This spot put them ALL to shame. The scallops were so incredibly clean, the salmon rich with excellent flavor, and they also had several varieties of fish we’d never tried before. Some of them weren’t for me, but I’m so impressed with several of the nigiri options that we ordered that I’m confident it’s a matter of personal taste on those particular kinds of fish, and in no way the quality or preparation of the offerings. Truly a stand out experience and the best sushi I’ve ever had. Worth every single penny.
