Fantastic reimagining of various Hawaiian food favorites. They do an excellent job of utilizing fresh, local ingredients and keeping the customer informed on where their food is coming from! We had the ahi crudo, the chicken long rice croquettes (AMAZING) and the venison hand-cut pasta. Every dish was delicious and accompanied with heartfelt service throughout. Highly recommended!

I love this restaurant. Have usually gone for brunch, but dinner was a treat. The staff is always so kind, professional and just plain nice, and exhibit a genuine appreciation that you have chosen to dine with them. The chef definitely creates dishes outside of the box, and his use of local ingredients is not only delicious but commendable. The lotus root veggie medley so original The sausage and clams perfect. Make sure you get the grilled bread so you can sop up the broth. My only comment was the crudo....delicious flavors, but heavy on the cucumber and light on the amount of fish. I shall return again and again.

What an awesome brunch space! Everything we ordered was delicious (roasted carrots, banana pancakes, ahi melt (usually ono is used but today it was ahi), and my iced Chai latte! Super extra brownie points for being dog friendly since we like to take Panda with us when we go out. He also made a few dog friends while there (Winnie and Rosie). Service was prompt and friendly. There are indoor and outdoor seating options. We will absolutely be back..but until then, I know I'll be dreaming about those scrumptious ulu fries!

Have always gone to Sunday Brunch for the Sourdough pancakes. They have been replaced with "Bali Pancakes" (whatever that means). The new pancakes lack the extra flavor the sourdough batter provided. Good pancakes, just not what they used to be.

Food is always good but the time it takes to get it to the table is always a very, very long wait. This consistently happens at Mud Hen Water. Wish I could provide better reviews.

Visiting in 2021 and knew we had to come back now that we were back in town. The sausage and clam broth was so good with an order of bread. Not 100% sure we needed reservations, especially when it said we needed to wait until 8pm for stable of 5. When we got there, many tables were open. But it didn't take away from how great the experience and food was.

Excellent, interesting food, creative cocktails, and friendly service. The biscuits with mapo gravy were a highlight, best fusion dish I have had in a long time.

We dined at Mud Hen Water last night and it was fabulous. I've never tasted a collection of items quite like these. The chicken was the most moist I've eaten, while the skin/crust was super crisp. Don't know how they did it. Plus, the included pickled vegetables provided a fine combination of flavors. The small, complimentary ‘starter' was unusually delightful. My wife loved her handmade pasta dish. The venison pieces were quite generous (she brought some back home for tomorrow's breakfast). Finally, the dessert was a chocolate cake/brownie (warmed) with a fancy, slightly seeet nut concoction and black sesame seed homemade ice cream/gelato...WONDERFUL! Our delightful server's (Riley) care and advice completed our stellar experience.

Brunch wasnt thay crowded when we went and Ed amazed with his usual fare of local produce. The roasted root vegetables and ulu are always a favorite. I hadn't been back since they removed the charcoal grill which was a disappointment.

Excellent service! Fresh food from local farms. Unusual mix of foods that has a nice balance of sweet, salty, and very flavorful.

The wait staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful in helping me identify gluten free options. There were four of us. We had fried rice (gluten free), ono sandwich and crudo both of which were apparently delicious. The Bloody Maris were fantastic as was the butterscotch pudding (also gluten free).

Food was a mixed bag for me. Two dishes were phenomenal and one was meh. The rice pudding dessert was pretty decent. I’d go back for the chicken long rice croquettes and fried ulu. Service was great.
